So far, so good, but I don't know if I'll finish by Christmas! What got into me this year?!--I don't sew at all, but one of the things I chose to make involves quite a bit of sewing. It's a very simple project, but I didn't realize how time-consuming it would be! Dh is taking off tomorrow, and his brother will be here for the day, so maybe I will get a little extra help with the kiddos. Anyone else frantically working at the last minute?

i am! i've completed a few projects but i'm starting to stress out about whether i'll be able to finish the playstands in time...i think i need to set up some deadlines so i have a clearer idea of how much NEEDS to be done each day/night until christmas. i'm determined to finish all my projects this time!!! (i have a history of not finishing projects on time :rolleyes: )

I have about $40 worth of silk sitting here looking at me accusingly because I haven't gotten around to dying ityet (maybe today!) and two costumes that need to have th finishing touches put on but you know how impossible sewing is with the kids wanting to be active participants...

There's also the (completely trashed) house to clean before company comes, a turkey to brine, cookies to bake, gifts to buy, gifts to wrap... I could just :Puke

If this weren't my last year of school I'd agitate to the board to time the terms in a kindlier manner for those of us who are parents!

I am :LOL I got all my gifts to mail finished andin the mail last Thurs. and have been procrastinating since, I figure I'll stay up really late Tues and do them all b/c we exchange gifts with my relatives on Christmas Eve. :LOL

I was planning to wrap today, and here it is the middle of the afternoon and nothing accomplished :eek Sitting here right now holding a sleeping baby, which is more fun than wrapping gifts anyway :) . Guess I'll be up late tonight.

I am right there with you we have playstands to finish (jessviola how far are you???) and muslin to dye and hem, puppets to finish off and who know what else... blah!!! and AAAAHHH!!!

I have just returned from the post office, mailing my MIL's scarf that i finished while waiting for breakfast to cook. I still have a set of dishcolths to make my mom for Christmas. Luckily, I can crochet fast.

I'm printing off photos right now for album gifts. Should be done tonight though

OH yeah...all done but one! I have one more stained glass piece to make...which I will do tomorrow....

And then I will be done!

My chocolate-dipped macaroons were supposed to be baked, dipped, in the tin and at the PO last week. Well, we all got the flu and we're only just now coming out of it. The folks I'm spending Christmas with will get the ones I made ahead of time to send, and the far-flung will just have to get a post-Christmas treat.

Add another one. I'm just taking a quick break before going back to the sewing machine. I have no clue what I was thinking!! Teaching myself to sew a month before Christmas and then deciding I would make about 10 things by...yep you guessed it SEWING!!!

Yup yup! Dh has made wooden christmas trees (a foot tall) and now we have to wrap about 100 tiny pieces of styrfome (I butchered that word there) to go under the trees. Joy joy! I'm making Dh help that's too much for me (we had to finish one as a Solstice gift and it took me an HOUR to wrap and froo froo the little presents for one tree!).

Just finished crocheting the last row of MIL's chenile scarf tonight and will put the fringe on it tomorrow. Will hopefully get a few more washcloths crocheted too but we'll see-will probably be doing that on the drive there! :)
Will start mittens for myself next week which will be a New Year's present if I'm lucky.

Well, I finished for Christmas but my nephew's birthday is Jan.3 and I'm trying to finish socks. Then my sister's birthday is the next week and I want to make her socks...

me too! I have to finish one bag today- almost done though. Don't know if my cousin's scarf is gonna have fringe or not- he he. Other than that I think it's all done. Most of it was for Solstace so that all had to be done by Sun.

I did! yay! Now I am on to crocheting dishcloths, because I don't feel like commiting to a project right now.

We aren't done either! I got the presents finished for everyone we saw at Christmas Eve and Christmas, but we still have more friends to see later on, so I'll do the projects as the other get togethers happen.

I'm not done either- dh got one mitten for Christmas with a promise of a second soon.

Dd got her socks yesterday...only one day late.

I got everything done for the people we actually saw with the exception of one fancy cape. Oh well. That will just have to become the next birthday present. I still haven't done the goodies for far distant friends that I swore I was going to do LAST holiday. :blush
