Bangor or Ellsworth area would be great, but Portland is doable.
Thanks, Mary

Hmmm.

I'm not sure how AP my dentist in Portland is, but he does know that I'm bfing my 2 1/2 yo and has never suggested that I wean him. His hygienist even took a look at Finn's teeth about 9mo ago and said they looked fine (it was a quick look) and he's going to come with me to my next visit (when he's 3) and they'll look again and if he's willing try to clean his teeth. He's definitely not very alternative and we'll have to cross the fluoride bridge later. He did agree to use a dam when he replaces a filling to prevent a release of metals in my body since I'm still bfing (though I brought up the concern).

You might want to ask on the Maine_mamas yahoo group that's attached to my sig. Most folks are from Portland area, but there are a few up north

Angie

edited to add the name of the dentist (would probably help if I actually answered your question, LOL). He's Dr. David Vaughan 1250 Forest Ave in Portland, Phone: 774-3900

Hi Mary

I asked about the Maine_mamas about holistic dentists. Here's a link to a response from Amanda (mamasoule on Mothering, I think?) about one in Skowhegan

dentist (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Maine_Mamas/message/1516)

There were a couple other names mentioned but they are all close to Portland. You can read all messages without being a member through my signature link.

Hope that helps

Angie
