Yep, that’s right, but not how you think. ;)
My 20 month old DS has taken up the habit of spanking me! :)
It started the other day when we were in the shower. I had my back to him while I was washing my hair and he spanked my butt and immediately starting roaring with laughter. Now he spanks my butt almost every time I get in front of him. If I laugh about it he'll spank his own butt and laugh! :LOL
So, is there a book I can get for him about gently disciplining your parent? :D

My niece swatted my butt a few weeks ago. She said "Aunt Wendy, your bottom wiggles funny!"
Sigh. I need to start running again...
[My sister was mortified.]

I was coming to the thread to reprimand you, you little devil!! :D
My son does the same thing- he is OBSESSED with my bum. The problem is, when he hits he he says "cute butt mama". Whilst this does wonders for my self-esteem (heehee) it is very embarrassing. He is 2.5 yrs- I used to say cute butt to him before he could talk, not thinking that he would take it in and use it one day himself!

Oh, that reminds me of a funny incident recently: The other night, when I was trying to get him to sleep and he was not interested (trying to nurse him to sleep in bed), he pulled my blankets off and started gently spanking me. I finally figured out that he was trying to get me to go to sleep...ever since he was a newborn, gently patting his tush in a steady rhythm helped him calm down and go to sleep. Dh and I laughed when we realized what he was doing.

Be careful, seriously!
DH, DD & I loved giving butt smacks. Then, one day, DD decided to spank a friend of hers. Uh oh, that was the end of that little family game. I could tell her mother was shocked that our child knew what spanking was, lol!

That is funny, though.
A little 2 yo that I used to babysit once smacked me on the bum and later I noticed that his father did that affectionately to his mom when passing through the kitchen. I am sure his mom had to explain that a few times.....

Our DDs great aunt taught her at about 11 months old to spank her baby doll and since she is an older woman we felt that it would be disrespectful to say anything to her so we watched them play and forgot about it. Then the next day when our DD saw her baby doll she went straight to her turned her over and started spanking her and laughing. It was pretty funny and only lasted for about a month.

that is too funny! It reminded me of my niece also who when young used to "spank" me and crack up. Then she said my butt was squishy (and this all BEFORE I had kids - she does not want to feel it now!) and would tell one and all that her aunt sarie had a squishy butt.
After the novelty of that wore off she was on a field trip to a petting zoo and they got to milk a cow. Well, while the love was milking the udder she announced rather loudly (according to my sis) that the udder felt like her aunts squishy butt. :eek
Ahh out of the mouth of babes!

Dh playfully smacked my butt the other week when I was bent over getting something out of the fridge. DS (who has never been spanked) immediately started wailing! He was soooo upset. Poor little guy thought I was getting hurt. (You'd think this would mean he wouldn't smack my face.)

I KNEW this had to be a joke or something. That is so funny. I was at my mil's once and ds tripped over a chair and fell. Mil spanked the chair and said "stop tripping my baby!". Ds looked at her like "what is wrong with that chick?" He had never seen a spanking before.
Anyway, I'm sure you deserved it! HaHa.
(ps. sorry I didn't reply in other thread about northern Maine....at least SOMEONE has moved a little closer! It does get a little lonely out here, doesn't it? And moving from Portland to Auburn must have been a little bit of culture shock!!)

DS loves to run up behind us, pointer finger fully engaged, poke us where it counts and yell "BUM!!" Then he buries his face in our rear. Strange kid. Even DH and I don't do that.... We hope he outgrows that before he goes to highschool.
