My dd just turned 3 and has has problems being aggressive towards other kids her age, or else just not showing any interest in playing with them. I pulled her out of preschool co-op after she asked to go home several times and if I didn't take her home she got aggressive. One of my best friends could not come over because my dd would be aggressive to her 4 year old.
Well today, after a long break from playing with other kids, my friend came back today with her 4 year old and 6 year old. I gave my dd a long talk ahead of time that if she was not nice to the girl, that girl would get sad and go home. We reviewed together what constituted "being nice" and what didn't. My dd is very attached to certain toys and I asked if she wanted to put them away or share them and she said she wanted to share.
So friend came over and they played very nicely together for over 2 hours!!! Dd shared her favorite toys, her stamps, gave lots of hugs. It got kinda wild and loud at times but nothing I would consider abnormal considering the ages of the kids. All three were very kind to friend's crawling baby and tried to include her in some of the games. I was just sooo proud! This is a real turning point for my dd.
