I'm pretty sure I"ve seen people post about this but don't remember what people responded.
I have this bad pain rigth in the center of my pubic bone. It feels sore and is worse sometimes than others. I know there is a cartilidge connective area there so I assume that is what it is. I was wondering what people have done to improve this?? I don't think I got it quite this early last time.
THanks in advance mamas! :)

I had this with both pregnancies, but only figured out what it was with the second. Go to www.plus_size_pregnancy.org, Kmom there has more info than anywhere else on this, and how to best treat it. Chiro treatments worked well for me, I printed out the info for my chiro and he did the webster technique on me many times. With the relaxin kicking in, adjustments didn't hold for a long time and for a while I saw him three times a week. Towards the end of pregnancy, my hip popped out and I felt much better, but chiro and knowing what NOT to do with my body helped immensely. I actually credit SPD for allowing my body to open up so I could have a wonderful homebirth with my 12 pound 1.6 ounce son. Good luck, but Kmom's site is really something you should check out.

great, thanks a lot mamas. :) I don't think mine is as severe as they're describing but it's good to know that there is info out there if I need it.

I had this with my last pregnancy. It started out pretty mild, just kind of sore in the ol' symphasis region, but it got way worse. There was one day I just couldn't walk. I went to an osteopath who did a few manipulations, and hey presto! I was cured. I just wanted to kiss that woman. I suppose a chiropractor could do basically the same thing. I went to the DO mainly because she was in the same practice as my doctor. Anyhoo, don't worry, you can be fixed!

Oh, the pain! I had this with my first towards the end and with my second it started at 12 weeks. Kmom's site is great.
I also saw a Chiro for the webster, but found that adjustments, including the Webster combined with cranial sacral(sp?) therapy is what helped the most.
I went thru heck with this pubic bone stuff, feel free to
pm me if you need any info, I have a fussy babe in arms...

I too have been getting pelvic pain, hard to get out of bed, turn in bed and get out of cars. Putting on tights and even pants in the morning is like gymnastics.
I am going to ask my ob/gyn about it at my next appointment, next Wednesday, when I will be 32 weeks along. this started for me a couple of weeks ago and has been getting worse, although not as bad as described in the article quoted earlier in this discussion.
Thanks for posting, as I have been having a hard time finding resources on this issue.
see you all,
