I stopped having contrax last night. I thought yay! I can sleep more comfortable! Well, as soon as I laid down I got this funny feeling way down low. It was a cramp! It felt like a beginning af cramp. They were uncomfortable but nothing much. So, after about 45 minutes I was able to fall asleep. Ds woke up and about 2 horus after I went to bed and they were still there. So, after getting up this morning they were gone. Then aat about 10:15 they started again! So, I'm having all of these cramps and some contrax but mainly jsut the cramps. They are getting a wee more intense. But combined with all this energy.....

I never really experienced labor with Tracy so all this is new to me. I am soo oexcited to think that it could be anyday..or even today! Who really knows...kwim?

Now for my question. to try and relax some I went to lay down. OUCH!!! It hurt sooo bad! It felt like it was pulling everything in my lower abdomen places it shouldn't be. As soon as I got up all I had were the cramps so I felt better.

Why would laying down hurt so much? (I tried all positions..I also tried some stretching and all it did was make me nauseated)

This is me a week before delivery! No sleep at all. I lay down and it starts rockin. I hope you get some relief soon, either uninterupted rest, or by a baby!

Oh, and it's normal for contractions to hurt more lying down. It's one of the things that starts that downward spiral in the hospital.

i'm just lurkin' here when i already had my second sweet little bean 5 weeks ago, but saw this thread title and couldn't resist. with dd#2 when i was really in labor (didn't have any false labor or too many braxton hicks) i absolutely could NOT lie down. i tried for a brief minute and thought reclining in the tub might work, but it was hands and knees or bent over with hands on the edge of the tub all the way for me. felt sooooo much better! keep that position in mind when the real thing starts.

Thanks gals. Not much has changed here. Still cramping. I just cannot believe how I cannot lay down!! I don't want to sleep sitting up so hopefully I can ignore it?
