Since before I went to bed last night (well, early this am thanks to Maggie) I had a pretty rotten headache.
It has gotten progressively worse thru the day.
I think its a combo of pregnancy induced and stress with the move coming up so quick.
I know its something tylenol won't help (I don't have any in the house anyway)
What can I do to help ease the pain???
(please don't suggest soaking in the tub b/c I'm here with 4 kids all alone and its not happening)
It needs to be gone by tomorrow b/c I have to work and this is my last week there.

Well, I was looking at a new-agey remedy site recently and it suggested visualizing a little naked leprechaun squeezing your head with all it's might, and then engage it in a dialogue about what it is trying to tell you. Then the purpose of the headache will be fulfilled and it will disappear....

I had a headache like that a couple days ago, and posted a thread here because I took a Tylenol and had a weird reaction to it. Someone suggested inhaling steam to help dry sinuses, as sinuses do become sensitive in pregnancy.
If you do that try adding a bit of rosemary essential oil or another headache aiding essential oil....it is helpful, but I really don't know if there is much you can do. My headache lasted for at least two days and has thankfully gone away.
Good luck....

Do you have to go to work? I mean, what will happen if you don't? That just seems so unreasonable and extreme for you. :(
Anyway, I'll tell you what worked for me when I was pregnant, had a migraine coming on, and not wanting to take pain-killers. I asked my midwife and she said: sit on something comfortable in a dark, quiet place with your head wrapped in a cold towel, your feet in hot water, and a warm blanket over the rest of you. I was really skeptical, but it worked. I don't know how you'll manage that with 4 kids though... uh, sit them down in front of a movie with snacks? She also suggested taking some valerian, but the headache improved before my husband got back with it.
Hope you feel better soon!

Alrighty, here's my little home remedy for stress headaches. Take a pool noodle (or rolled up towel if you don't have a noodle) and lay with it running between your shoulder blades all the way down to your tailbone--usually about 10 min if you can, but I find it also works sitting leaning against it if it's easier with your kids. Also, I wrap my neck with a wet towel that was in the freezer to just before it gets crunchy that I wrap up in a dry towel.
Hope something helps.

Headaches and backpain can be a sign of dehydration. Are you drinking enough water?

i got me some really strong peppermint oil in germany, but they probably have something like it here too. check the natural food stores, maybe tiger balm?!
anyways, that stuff is a lifesaver, rub some on your temples and the back of the neck just below the hairline, omg, instant relief...

I just want to double check, is your blood pressure ok? I know I am paranoid, but that was one of my symptoms of high blood pressure was a really bad headache.

I had constant headaches throughout my 2nd trimester when I was pregnant with dd. Other than Tylenol (which helped a bit) I found lots of relief from Lavender essential oil. My job at that time involved lots of driving, and I would rub some on my temples and even sniff the bottle at red lights. I can't imagine what the other drivers thought I was doing!! It didn't "cure" the headaches, but it made the pain bearable.

Thanks for the suggestions ladies.
I do have Badger Balms sleep balm which helped a little.
They come and go which I guess I should expect with everything going on right now.
I definitely need to drink more water!!!!
