OMG, DD went to bed at 9:30 p.m., woke sometime (I'm guessing around midnight), woke at 5:20 a.m. then again at 7:45 a.m.

That means only 2 wake-ups!!!!!!!!!!!

DD is 11 1/2 months old. This has not happened since she was 8 weeks old. I'm still in shock. When I looked at the clock at 5:20 a.m. I thought I must have lost my memory. Surely she'd woken and I'd just forgot? I had to ask my dh but he doesn't remember her waking either.

What's amazing is that the night before was hell. I actually got up and left dd in the bed with dh at 5 a.m. That's something I haven't done since dd was about 4 months old. She cried for 15 minutes and then went to sleep for 2 hours. Last night I was getting frustrated again with her so I asked dh to lie with her. Again, she cried for about 15 minutes then went to sleep. I actually went upstairs and watched almost an entire movie before I went to sleep. DD never woke up.

DH is going to lie down with her again tonight. Send us all some sleep vibes please :)

Congratulations ! Do you feel wonderful with that much sleep !

It really helped me when I finally shared the going to bed ritual with my husband ...we alternate nights putting our 18 month old son to bed and waking up with him at night and in the morning .....I have never been so happy because I am well rested.

Tonight is my husbands night to put our son to sleep and although I will miss his hugs and snuggling tonight, I have all day tomorrow and tomorrow night to love him !

But tonight I will read myself to sleep and not move for 8 hours, yeah !

Congratulations again ! This means that there is a light at the end of the tunnel !

Woo-hoo! Yea, there is hope!!!

Actually, things have been getting better for us, too... (better not say that too loudly, or quick knock on wood). Zane is very into his 6AM wake-up, but getting better at longer stretches through the night.

I hear the Beatles.."Have to admit, it's getting better..." :D

YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!!!!!
About time - you deserve this and your DD deserves a good nights sleep.

Hopefully this is it and you've all turned a corner.
I'm so happy for you.

Thanks Kate.

Another reasonably good night last night.

DH now lays down with Annelise at bedtime. After almost a year of being the only one who could get dd to sleep at night I wander around the house wondering what I'm supposed to be doing! They read stories and play with the flashlight on the ceiling then dd flops around on the bed until she falls asleep.

Anyway, she was asleep at 9:30, woke when dh went to bed at 11:00 and twice thereafter but went back to sleep on her own (I didn't even touch her), nursed at 2:45 a.m., 6:45 a.m. and got up at 7:45 a.m. (that may not sound good to some people, but believe me, it's a miracle).

I'm really still in shock. I can't believe the change.

Coincidentally (or not) dd is now walking.
