Hot! No where near as bad today as it was yesterday. Yesterday was 38 and really muggy. Today it's about 30 with some cloud coverage and feels like such a relief.

Got to love Brisbane though. :)

I grew up in Victoria and have a lot of family there. What region are you from?

I also know of a Natural Parenting Melbourne group if you're interested.

hi cinna-mum! and hi meo!

I am a melbourne person, pretty busy too with 3 boys (12, 6 and almost 7 mos), where are you cinna-mum?

I grew up in Perth and also lived in Qld for a while but give me cool weather any day - those Brisbane summers are a humid killer and Perth summers a dry killer. Round this time of year I dream of NZ's south island... or Tassie

hi there lisa and kylie! welcome!

hi Hilary :wave

luckily Melb is having a cool summer, no need to migrate this time :D tho two floods in recent times have caused more than a few dramas... "once in a hundred years storm" the media called the first one in December - then yesterday another one - I never knew a hundred years could pass so quickly:LOL

I'm in Australia as well, Adelaide. I have one girl, Kaia, who's just turned two.

I spent the first two weeks of January on the south island of New Zealand (the very top of it) and every day the weather was 20-25C. Good weather but I was looking foward to coming back to Adelaide for some really nice and hot weather. So I get back and every day since has been 20-25C. Arrrrgh. I want my hot weather! Anyway, enough about the weather :LOL

Hello all, so good to see some people from the southern hemi on the boards. It feels a bit Ameri-centric sometimes here (although I'll confess straight up that I was, gasp!, born there & didn't even leave the country until I was 25)

We're in North QLD, so I'll take some of your cool weather anyday, anytime. Just got back from the Blue Mtns & Tassie- I cried on the drive back north- well, not the entire drive or I'd still have swollen eyeballs from days worth of tears!

We are: 2 parents, 2 kids, 3 chooks, 1 cat, & now, 1 10 week old border collie. Love those Kiwi dogs (except she whissed all over my dd's homework last nite!)

Convince me NQ's not so bad, it's only 34 today. Course the humidity's 95%, but who's complaining!
