Currently dh, toddler, and I all sleep crammed on a double futon. It is a cruddy old futon mattress that someone was getting rid of when we got married so we took it.

Anyway, we want to buy a futon from white lotus futon. (they look sooooooo wonderful) Has anyone purchased from them? On their website they say that they don't make kings but will make two extra long twins to put together. Has anyone done this and does it work? Could I just buy the wool topper in a King and use it on the floor as a substitute for a mattress? Or should I just buy a queen?

We want to continue co-sleeping and I am wondering if upgrading to a queen will give us sufficient space or if we should get a king. We are all fairly average size people but probably air on the small side.

Okay moms, help me out!

Honestly, I can't imagine a co-sleeping family upgrading and NOT going for a king-size. DH and I and DS co-sleep in a king, and I'm almost always wishing for more room (granted, DH and I are fairly big - 6'4" and 5'8" and I'm 39 weeks prego, but still). I don't have any personal experience with White Lotus futons, but it sounds from their website like the 2 extra long twins put together with the king-size wool topper would be just the thing.

I would go with the king. There is no such thing as too big a bed, IMO, esp as the kiddos get bigger and start kicking harder :LOL

Thanks moms,

I think we will go ahead and go with the king. (can't WAIT to get out of our double.

I think I was going back and forth because I kept talking to my mom and MIL both of whom never co-slept who kept telling me I would never need that much space.

Thanks again.
