Help

DS is 2 and a half. He has been in his own bed for 6 months and he sleeps through the night. We do not nurse at night or during the night (only at nap time). He was sick a few weeks ago and he woke up during the night frequently. I would hold him and cuddle with him until he fell back asleep;. Well now he is all better but he likes that night time cuddle. He is waking up two to three times during the night saying "mommy hold me". He is also waking up early from his nap saying "mommy hold me" I am getting crabby and resentful about this. I am also inconsistant in my response to him. If it is during the night, I have told him that I will not hold him during the night so I get up, go to his room and sit with him until he falls asleep. But if he does this around 6:00 am, I will hold him and cuddle with him until he goes back to sleep so we all can get a few more hours. If he does this during his nap, I will hold him so that he gets more sleep. I know I have to be more consistant. Has anyone else gone through this or something similar and can offer advice?
