I am so sad now, writing this. My mother's closest friend, whom we were all pretty close to, is dying. She is being ravaged by pancreatic cancer, which is a horrible disease and it makes me feel so sad!
She is the mother of three kids, all who still live at home, but are in their young 20s. None are married, or have children. She will never be a grandma, which she so wanted.
My mom got the call last night that they had taken her into the hospital in extreme pain. She was bleeding internally and wouldn't make it through the night. When my mother got to the hospital, the last rites were being admisinistered. Her whole family, and many friends were there. Her daughter sang to her, her sons held her hands. Her poor husband just kissed and hugged her often, my mother said.
When my mother left, Peg was still hanging on. My mom still hasn't heard if she has passed yet, this morning, but knows in her heart she most likely has.
Please pray for Margaret "Peg" Peters and her husband Glen, daughter Teresea, and sons Micheal and Wes. This was a sudden and unexpected illness. They knew the end was coming, but not this son.
Thank you

I'm glad she had her family around her. What a loving way to go. I'll say a prayer.

I am so sorry for that families loss. It is really awful to lose someone so soon adn so young.

With an illness you usually expect to have time to prepare but it never really is enough...

You and all thoes touched by Peg are in my thoughts. When I read your words I can see how she touched your life.

Be gentle with yourself and take some time to sit with your mom and remember someone so dear. You can begin to heal together.

It seems so unfair that this has happened to her. My friend's mom went in for gaul bladder surgery about a year ago and they found a tumor in her. She died of cancer a few months later - what an odd thing. We're all still working through the grief together.

You'll be in my families thoughts.
