DD has the RAST a while ago but for a limited number of allergens. I suspect ds may be reacting to beans and lentils. I know that you can be allergic to some without being allergic to others. Does anyone know if the RAST tests each and every (common to N. America) bean and lentil? Since he was born, we've had slight mystery reactions that may or may not be associated with his or my consumption of black beans, pinto beans, brown lentils, red lentils, navy beans and kidney beans. In every case, the reaction could be chalked up to something else, so I'm very unsure here and I would love to get testing eventually.

When we did the rast test on our kids, we had to circle each and every thing we wanted them to test for--there were no automatic things the office tested for (and up, ew Melanie...we didn't test for tobacco and seminal fluid and rodent urine. ) So, you can circle/list every type of bean/lentil you want tested. :)
