I would like to create a handout for all my clients on the importance of pregnancy nutrition. I'd love it if the doulas/midwives on this list could share the most important tips or suggestions they try to communicate to their clients during prenatal visits, as well as any documentation/resources on the topic.

The only thing I have in my library right now is a super old copy of the Brewer book, so I'd be interested in finding some other good books/articles on this topic.

I want to create something very simple, with perhaps bulleted suggestions that are quick and easy to read (For example, suggestions of a vitamin C source to consume every day, and why this is important, etc, etc)- and then perhaps a list of in depth references at the bottom.

Thanks in advance
Jeanette

but a dietitian with a filing cabinet full of nutrition information. I can look through it and see what all I have on nutrition during pregnancy if you are interested. Let me know...

Check out the Brewer Hotline on Mr Brewer's website (I don't have the url). It is an e-book that is very, very good. I do not have it yet, but plan to own it soon. A friend of mine showed it to me and I was blown away - it's very thorough and even better than his "What Every Preganncy Woman Should Know".

Peace and love,
L

Joyful Mama,
Unless I received/replyed to and deleted an email from you already and forgot about it (totally possible since I did an all night birth on Monday) then I didn't get your email :)

loved,
The Brewer Book I have is "The Brewer Medical Diet for Normal and High Risk Pregnancy". Is this much different from "What Every Pregnant Woman Should Know"? I will check out the ebook - thanks for the reference.
