I can't be the only one who has a slight obsession with seeing those 2 lines. :lol I've taken at least 8-10 HPT's with all 4 of my pregnancies...and I still have all of them. I love seeing the progression. :lol I'm at 10 tests already...and my first BFP was only like 4 days ago. :innocent The line today was pretty dark so I might wait a few days and then snag another $ store test or two. :lol

Okay, I fessed up. There HAS to be someone else out there who understands!!!

From what I've seen on most message boards, you seem to be the norm! As for me, I'm a total cheapskate and I only use one test. I wait until I'm pretty sure and then when I get the positive I'm done. I just look at it lots, rather than taking new tests :)

I have 2 more tests left, so I might POAS again today just to see it again. LOL!

On 12 DPO I got BFN
on 14 DPO I got BFP

So I think I want to see it again! When DS1 I must have POAS 10 times EASY! With DS2 maybe only 2-3 times.

I bought 25 tests off Ebay for $9, so I could pee lots if I wanted to. Then I got pregnant the first cycle after I got them. :lol So I used a lot of them! I had them, why not, right? Mostly because I got my bfp earlier this time than last (11dpo this time and 14dpo last time), and the lines were really light, so I had a hard time believing they were real. I did break and buy a digital when I saw they were on sale. I thought of keeping the tests last time, but ended up taking a picture of one of them instead and now the picture is in her baby book. I'm going to do the same this time.

I am going to admit, although I have only used 3 tests so far, I am planning on continuing to test til I see a really nice DARK line. I am 14dpo today. I tested at 12dpo (my BFP) and once again last night before bed. I will probably test every other day til I am satisfied with what I see. I also still have my super dark test from DS. I took it the day AF was due, but, back then my cycles were longer. IDK if that makes a difference or not. We should all post when we we get the progression we want!! I think it would be fun!! Anyone want to join me??

I live a half mile from a Dollar Tree, which has been feeding my addiction. My first, faint bfp was on 13dpo. Finally today, 22dpo, I got the dark lines I've been waiting for. I'll hopefully know how my hcg & progesterone are doing tomorrow or Thursday (I had a previous m/c, so they're checking me early). The tests have been getting me through, since I barely have any symptoms to speak of (aside from no AF). Here's a picture of my progression:

18, 20, and 22 may look similar, but they do get progressively darker. 20 was the first one where the test line showed before the control, and 22 was the first where the test ended up being darker than the control.

lucy_v So happy to hear you are being taken care of the way you should be first of all. It's nice to have that piece of mind! Thanks so much for posting the pics of your progression!! It is awesome!! That last one is what I am talking about!!! Way to go!!

I was AWFUL last month! I think I took 10..but mostly cause of my digitsl positive and subsequent negs. This month I've only tested 2xs, but i bought 1 more for sunday...if I can wait that long!

I have definitely POAS at least two times a day since my BFP! It's like I still can't quite believe it. Every time I do it I tell DH that I POAS and he says, "Oh yeah?" and I say, "Yep! Still pregnant."

I tested for the first time on Sunday mid-day and got a really dark line. Then I tested on Monday morning, but the line was a little lighter. So that has me freaked out. My DH is out of town until Friday night, so I'll retest on Saturday, just to make me less nervous and so he can share the excitement.

Here are mine (minus a few that I cannot seem to find!! :( ), from about 7/8 DPO (I've had very early BFP's with 4 of my 5 pg's) until today (I waited about 3 days between the last one and todays)...but good luck seeing the lines on those first ones. :lol They're there, though! (I guess those would be considered the kind of lines only a crazy woman who's looked at WAY too many pg. tests in the last 5 years would see :lol )

Today's line was darker than the control line, so that'll do for now! :) Well...that's a lie...for a few days. :lol I have 1 more test that I'll use (actually I have 5 more strips coming with my urinalysis strips...maybe I'll tell DH to hide them), but I'll wait a few days. I like it when the test line is so dark that it steals all the dye away from the control line. :lol Hopefully I make it that far!!!!

OK, maybe I will be able to stop now. My line is as dark as the control line on a FRER, almost as dark on a $$ store one. :joy:

I still have a few tests left though, I never got sick of seeing that BFP :D

I totally get it. I don't have money to spend on more sticks, but I LOVE seeing the lines form. I feel like a dork.

I love the title of this thread though - addicted to the stick! My grocery store has just started locking the stick tests up with the Nicorette and Cigarettes. I asked why - is there a potential for abuse? :rotflmao Turns out they get stolen all the time. :eyesroll

I have to admit, that i am probably going to keep POAS until I go to my first appointment. I feel like I need to keep seeing that second line every once in a while. Yes...I am nuts. Also I just wanted to tell everyone...i went to peeonastick.com today and it is no longer there! Anyone else see this??

I was just about to go there and it is gone. Ah! I wanted to find out about using an OPK at a HPT (bought some about midcycle for my NEXT cycle :lol oops). Any way I used an OPK and wow that's a BFP!

This may sound silly but I haven't peed on any sticks lately and am scared to. Seeing a BFN is my worst fear. I don't think I'd be able to sleep if I knew I was going to POAS the next morning :o. Should I? I have a FRER left.

:hug BelovedK I keep having nightmares about not being pregnant anymore so I keep peeing. If I were you I would test again. :hug My guess is you'll get a BFP again.

I just POAS. Superdark :D. I feel so much better.

I'll be testing again tomorrow morning and every other day from then on out at least until I get the results of my beta (drawn YESTERDAY) back, possibly until I see/hear a heartbeat.

Agh! You guys are making me want to test again. My last line was pretty faint, but the doc confirmed last week. Today I am 20 DPO. ::runs to bathroom to test::

Wow, the PG line is darker than the other line! DB just laughed and said, "Wow if you take another one it's going to start crying.." and then proceeded to make baby cries.. haha.

I'm unashamedly testing every single day, maybe twice a day, until I feel secure enough to stop :wink Last night I got the darkest line I've had so far, and it felt like a relief.

I test every day too. I just bought 50 more internet cheapies. :)

Yup! I wasn't with my first pregnancy...I think I took 2 or 3 tests and I was done. But, I had a miscarriage in March. I got my first BFP Monday and have been testing every day since!!!! The line was so ridiculously faint on Monday, I thought I was crazy and just seeing something there b/c I wanted to be pregnant so badly.

AF would start tomorrow and I bought two more tonight to keep testing to make sure that line keeps getting darker. Like skeeter30 said, I'll probably be peeing on lots of sticks until my first appt.

I peed on the last one today and I'm going to try really, really hard not to spend another $12 on tests. I ONLY like the FRER, but I guess by now a $ store test would show a real +, huh? Maybe I could swing a few of those to get me through to my u/s on the 16th.

When I asked DH if I should use the last test this morning, his answer was "nah, just save it for next time." UM...not sure there's EVER gonna be a "next time," honey. I used it and left it sitting out for him to see before he left for work! :lol
