My ds has chewing gum embedded in some new shorts. We've tried freezing the shorts and scraping the frozen gum off but it only worked for a small amount on the surface. Does anyone have any tips/tricks/suggestions? It doesn't even have to a green recommendation (no flames please). I'll happily try a chemical recommendation if it'll save the brand new shorts. Thanks!

Anybody???
I'll happily try any natural solutions or chemicals or any physical scrubbing tricks if it'll work. I've just never had this happen before and the only info I can find is to freeze the clothes and remove the gum and that only removed the surface gum.
Please help.

have you held the ice cube on one side while you scrape the other?
peanut butter is supposed to work on hair.
I think there is an oily product that might work....can't remember the name. Goo Gone?
Yeah, a quick google search for goo gone chewing gum should help you --

No, I hadn't held the ice on the other side, nor have I tried peanut butter. I shall try both! Thands!

Use something oily to get the gum out. Then use ammonia to get the oil out.
