They can order them for you if you ask. You will probably have to get a whole case (size varies) but you'll get a 10% discount and the dried cereal should last a while. :)

I also found these, which have some soy and 'natural flavors' so they likely won't work for us at the moment (though DS is eating Sunbutter which may contain traces of soy.)

I've seen puffins. I like the perky-os because they are smaller. So I can eat more. lol.

they're in my pantry. i bought them about a year ago- just before i fell pregnant. i was "saving" them to use in allergen free chex mix. i was just thinking the other day that maybe i'd try them by themselves since they're just sitting there right now..

I tried a sample of them once... they're not bad.

My oldest son likes the Perky's Nutty Rice cereal... I think it's pretty good too.

I've gotten them before and tried all 3 flavors, to quote my kids "THESE ARE NASTY MOM!" and they refused to try them again. I tried them and can't blame them, I thought they were pretty gross too. There's a number of main stream cereals that are GF now. Most of the Chex cereals are GF and the new formulation of Honey Kix are GF too even though the boxes are not labeled yet as GF. Just check the ingredients, if it doesn't have the oats its the new GF ones. The Dora stars stuff is GF as well and if your up for the dye load even Trix is GF.

We're avoiding ALL additives, dyes, etc. I wish they'd make Chex without BHT. :angry

Just opened my Perky-Os. I like them and so does DS1. They taste almost exactly like Cheerios to me. Of course, considering Cheerios taste like cardboard to me to begin with... :innocent

My DH just picked up a box of Puffins. They don't contain oats and it says 'Gluten-free' on the front but on the back it says, 'Made on equipment that also process wheat, blah, blah.' :angry I'm not sure whether to risk it or not.

The same thing goes for the Arrowhead Mill millet puffs, except they don't even claim to be gluten free AND are processed in a facility with wheat.

sorry---apparently I've talking about a completely different brand--the puffins with a bird on the box ----this brand I'm talking about says wheat free not gluten free---I'd take a chance on these perky-o's - maybe I'll try them if I see them somewhere.
