I had an ultrasound today to confirm dates and location and I got to see my little gummy bear with a beautiful beating heart! :joy:joy:joy I am measuring 6 weeks 1 day so it looks like DH and I brought home a souvenir from our vacation in to Disneyland:wink

AHHH! So cool! I sometimes wish I could go in for early ultrasound just to see that. Oh well. 14 more weeks to go before I see my little nugget :)

Congratulations on seeing your sweet babe!

Congratulations! :joy

I don't have my first u/s until November 4, at 8 weeks 2 days. I love that first "whoosh whoosh whoosh" sound. :love

Aww yay!! Congrats! I can't wait to see mine! I go in on the 22nd, at 6wk 4 days.

Question: I can NOT do a vaginal U/S. They would have to sedate me. I can't tolerate pap smears, either. I'm also very slim, and recently had an abdominal one b/c we were concerned I had a cyst...anyway the tech said I'm sooo clear and easy to scan. So, they should be able to see my baby's HB if we do abdominal again, right? Please say yes?

I have no idea but I hope they can for your sake. I would think so as long as you had enough water in your bladder to hold up the uterus.

As an aside, please please please get regular pelvic exams. Whatever you have to do to get one done once a year, do it. I went two years without and in that time developed ovarian cancer and lost one ovary and the function of my other one. My little PSA for today.

Woo! Great news!

I don't think I'll be having an u/s until the usual 18-week one. How do all you mommas sneak in there so early?? I want one!!

Of course, I can understand if there have been past losses, if there's bleeding, etc.

I didn't know I was pregnant had a wonky 60 day cycle went to the doctors because of that and having lots of pain and spotting turned out I was pregnant and my doctor was concerned it was ectopic but thankfully it wasn't :love The 18 week ones are the good ones anyways right now it just looks like a little gummybear lol
