Need Waldorf Doll help

ARG. I cannot get the head onto my Waldorf doll. Has anyone made one where you make a hole in the body wool and insert the neck in attaching it to the top of the body with an "invisble" stitch?

I don't know what an invisible stitch is and I have had to remove the head twice because it looks like a Franken-baby.

Help!

No idea what an invisible stitch is, but all my dollmaking books call for a ladder stitch which looks like this:

|_| |_| |_| |_| |_| |_|

If that makes any sense... you make a stitch in the head fabric, a stitch in the body, a stitch in the head, back and forth around the neck till the end... pull it fairly tight as you're sewing.
