My son is 10 months old and sleeps with my husband and I. We love having him in bed with us but recently he has been very restless and tossing and turning. The only thing that helps him get back to sleep is nursing. The down fall is that he will nurse as often as every hour for 30 or 40 min. If I pull away he cries, if I rock him and then try and lay him down he cries....
So I put him back on my breast and he nurses hard for 30 to 40 min. before he falls asleep. The other thing he is doing is nursing hard.. I feel like I have been asaulted in the morning :) funny now but at 3 AM it's not so cute..
I am soooo tired.. does anyone have advise...
I am new to this site, and happy I found it...

Thanks

Is he feeling well?
Is he teething?
Could this be a growth spurt?
Has anything else in his life changed where he might just need to connect to you more now?

My ds went through phases like that too at night. But they were phases, and it passed.

How long has he been restless? Has he been sick? I know our children were really sound co-sleepers except when they were sick, esp with an ear infection.

thanks for getting back to me.....
We were both sick for 2 weeks streight, he had and ear infection too. That was about 2 weeks ago.... We are better now.
He is teething, and he is learning to stand on his own, also I had a medical procedure done that required me to not breast feed for 2 days.... I guess this answers my question....He is growing, teething, a little seperation anxiety ect......

I guess this will pass......

Thanks for all of your input...
