MamaFern 03-02-2004, 09:47 AM they are great! what pattern did you use? fern Attached_Mom_to_7 03-02-2004, 02:32 PM Nice job!! ~Rachel :-wool Bearsmama 03-02-2004, 09:02 PM Lisadeane-These are darling. I am a beginner knitter myself, and wondering how difficult these were for you to do. Like, would you say that this would be a good thing for a newbie to knitting, or does it take more skill? mehndi mama 03-03-2004, 12:16 AM Way to go! Will you be adding elastic, or are you going to stick with the paper-bag waist? Lisadeanne 03-03-2004, 03:39 PM This was the second thing I have ever knitted and it wasn't too hard at all. The pattern I followed is free and it is on the wool soaker group on yahoo. It is Susans soaker pattern. I have adrawstring for the waist which seems to be working fine. I just bought the new pattern from Fern and Faerie and am working on a soaker this time. I am having so much fun with this! Bearsmama 03-04-2004, 12:16 PM LisadeaneThank you! Perhaps I will be making these in the near future. pb_and_j 03-04-2004, 04:39 PM Oh those look fabulous! I love the rolled cuffs too! You did a great job. I need to check out that pattern. MamaFern 03-04-2004, 08:49 PM can you tell me the url for the longies pattern? that would be great. i really want to make some fior my son. thanks fern Lisadeanne 03-05-2004, 08:26 AM Fern, the pattern is in a file folder on the Wool Soaker group on Yahoo groups. You have to join the group I think to be able to see it. Just go to Yahoo groups and type in Wool Soaker and it should take you there. mehndi mama 03-05-2004, 08:46 AM here's the link for the wool_soaker_group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wool_soaker_group/?yguid=73504416) BinahYeteirah 03-05-2004, 08:58 AM :thumb MamaFern 03-05-2004, 05:02 PM thanks! im just learning how to spin and dye wool so im excited to make some of these out of hand dyed and hand spun wool. fern MamaFern 03-06-2004, 10:33 AM another stupid question... which one did you use? i see numerous legging patterns.. susans, valeries, or the one with part 1...ect? some of those patterns look a bit confusing,. maybe because they are hand made. thanks, fern |
