Dp is *very* seriously contemplating birthing our third child. She's still thinking about it, but most likely will begin ttc in September. I am *thrilled* as I have always wanted to have a pregnant wife :D. I would love to connect with some other families in which both moms have been birth moms.
How did it feel to be the non-birth mom after having been the birth mom before?
Did you both nurse the baby (most likely I will still be nursing Luke and Jasper when baby #3 comes along, so I would have milk left and would love to nurse him/her)?
I do wonder if I will have trouble not being "in control" over issues like breastfeeding on demand, co-sleeping, and Dp's diet (she is not as strict about eating organic as I am). She's been completely supportive and in agreement about all of the decisions I've made so far about parenting Luke and Jasper, but when it's her body I know she might feel differently. I want to be prepared to give her some of the control I've had, but I do think it will be hard for me.
I would be the primary caregiver for the new baby, and I wonder if that would be hard for Dp. She says she could never be a stay-at-home mom, but I wonder if she'll feel differently after giving birth.
Enough babble. Anyone else out there?
Lex
