I recently poured my heart out to a lady at work and the next day she brought me in pages from her husband's book (he's a doctor) on remedies and cures for infertility. There was a section on tubal infertility that went on to explain how diet etc can help correct the blocked and/or scarred tubes. I'm so tempted to run out and buy all the vitamins in the book and start my husband and I on the recommended diet but I have doubts.

Has anyone heard or been told that there are ways to help unblock blocked tubes w/o having to resort to IVF?

Thanks!

HI !

I have never heard about this. I think it depends on what the blockage is. If it is scar tissue, then I don't think diet is going to make that go away. If it is an infection or other kind of blockage, then it might. I would recommend talking to a naturopath about something like this, especially when taking vitamins an dherbs, as something can screw up your cycle.

I know that isn't much help. Sorry :hug

I'm probably not going to be much help either. I have tubal if & had all sorts of dramas, spent lots of money on naturopaths, reflexologists & herbs. To no avail. I ended up losing my tubes to an ectopic prgenancy & a bodged attempt to fix them. However, I now have 2 children from one IVF cycle & the thaw cycle from the drugs. So there is always a lot of hope.

I think it depends how bad your tubes are damaged. I ended up kinda stuck with the route I had to go as I had already lost one tube prior to my ectopic. My ectopic lost the other one. My tubes were very badly damaged to begin with.

Things I wish I had found out before I let them try to fix my tubes surgically so I had a better go at fixing them naturally. Look up Atila toth on the net. He has some very interesting case studies. I don't think anti-biotic therapy is the answer, but I'm sure sodium ascorbate & probiotics powder & decent vit & mineral supplementation would have the same effect. Also I discovered acupuncture fairly late on. Well when I had already lost my tubes. I think I was feeling very depressed after losing my last IVF embryo I had left at 16 weeks at the time. So I went for some acupuncture. I am absolutely convinced that I have my 2 younger children because of acupuncture. The lady who treated me sepcialised in fertility. She had sucessfully treated some womyn for tubal problems.

Bestof luck :hug

I've never heard of that. Mine are blocked from endo. My doc wouldn't even try to open them. He said that the sucess rate is so low that most docs won't even try. We have IVF and have our beautiful son as a result. Now back in Nov I had a m/c from a natural pregnancy. We've tried since then and have gotten nowhere. Looks like we'll be doing the IVF again. I guess it really depends on what is blocking your tubes. I agree if it is scar tissue that won't fix it. I wish you the best of luck and hope you get pg soon!
