Just wondering if I'm the only huge (almost) 4 month pregnant person out there. I probably look more like 6 months pregnant. When I was pregnant with my daughter people didn't really start noticing my belly until the end of 5 months/early 6 months. Some lady's eyes popped out at me when she asked how far along I was and I told her I will be four months preg next week. We were thinking twins, but I had an ultrasound a couple weeks ago to check and there's just one baby in there. I'm not looking forward to the last month of pregnancy...if I'm this big now, imagine how much bigger I will be then!! :jaw
Can anyone relate?

I'm 17 1/2 weeks.Dressed, I don't look very big, but it's obvious when I'm undressed.
It's always this way for me. People comment that I don't look very big (during other pregnancies) even when I'm feeling big and uncomfortable.
The week before baby #3, I think, someone from the church came up to me and told me she just heard that I was pregnant, and when was I due. The next Sunday I showed up with a baby. I think it is a big exageration to say that I don't get big. Of course I do, I look and feel big, but it doesn't become very noticable until around 28 weeks to other people.
It bugs me just as much to hear "small" comments as it does others to hear "big" comments, I'm sure.

I'll be 18 weeks tomorrow, and I look 6 months along. But it's my 4th, so things just popped right back into place!

I think I look really big already. People at work comment on how great I look and how much i am showing. I have a hard time saying I look such and such many months, but it seems i have a noticeable tummy even fully clothed. i have been taking photos lately and am hoping to scan some in to send to family and post for you guys.

But hey! I'm possibly carrying twins so i break all the rules!

I'm about 16 weeks and wearing maternity clothes, but kind of just looking like I gained 10 pounds instead of looking pregnant. But aren't maternity clothes so comfy? In 5 months I'll be really tired of no waist clothes, but right now I'm just feeling like I'm wearing my pajamas all day! :D

I'm 14 weeks and definitely showing. I'm always embarassed when people ask me how many weeks I am or when I'm due because I think I look so much farther along than I am.

I love my little belly though!!

We need to start a belly pic thread.

Hey, wait a minute, are some of you doing the August club too? Because you're so far ahead of me! I believe I'm at about 13 weeks. Anyway... I am expanding a bit, my bikini underwear is undercomfortable under my bulge, so I had to go buy new underwear yesterday. Also, my stomach is just a tad bit harder than its usual flabby self. :LOL The growth is pretty obvious to me, but since I normally have a tummy and wear loose clothing, I think other people aren't going to notice until I get *really* big.

I could swear I'm getting movement too... very exciting. :)

I am 15 weeks and I think I look much bigger now than I did with my other pregnancies, but if I havent told people Im pregnant they wouldnt know yet.

Im not wearing maternity clothes yet, but the clothes I am wearing are def. bigger than before I was pregnant. I wear a lot of pants with drawstrings and cotton athletic shorts (I guess thats what you call them). Im going to try to get by without buying too many maternity clothes this time, as this might be my last pregnancy. I wish I had someone to borrow from. :crying

I did buy one shirt though, I look so cute in it and can wear it even when not pregnant since it ties in the back.

A belly pic thread is a great idea!!!

I'm 17.5 weeks and definitely have a belly. People that know me and know I'm pg can tell, but if I haven't told someone yet, they say I wouldn't have known. I don't think a stranger could tell. But it also very much depends on what I'm wearing, some things accentuate it much more.

I have been meaning to take a belly pic for weeks now, I just keep forgetting to ask dh when we're both home...

I am big, but this is my fourth. I haven't gained weight, so it is weird. There is just a ball in the front. Must be a boy...I took a belly pic to send to my mom, she was shocked!

Hi, gals,

I'm 16 1/2 weeks along, have only gained about 4 pounds, and am definitely showing. Yesterday was the first time a stranger mentioned my pregnancy. (She must be brave!)

But I AM carrying twins, tee hee. I just got ultrasound confirmation last Wednesday, 3/24. How exciting! An answer to my 10-year TWIN prayer...

I was small with my previous pregnancy until probably 5 months. I wanted so badly to look pregnant that it irritated me to hear "but you're not showing at all!" =O)

:baby :baby CONGRATULATIONS!!! msrog my cousin is due with twins in 2 weeks. So exciting!!

I am 18 weeks, measuring 20cm though. My uterus is just above my belly button. This is #5 for me, I think my uterus is remembering pg much earlier than usual for me though. I have been in maternity pants for a month now.

It is exciting for me to be in mat clothes again. I love being pg!! I love the little movements that only I can feel so far. Each pg is so wonderful and unique. I am so addicted!!

We are hoping to replace our digi cam (it died) soon so I will be able to add to the belly pic thread.

Happy gestating!!
Sarah

It is truly a blessing being pregnant. I love it too! =O)

I hope to be able to have a home birth someday...

The Friday before the ultrasound, at my first visit using the yellow measuring tape, I was 14 1/2 weeks but measuring 24! Turns out both babies are exact right size for singletons. =O) No wonder I've been so famished.

Happy baking to all of you, too! I didn't have cyber friends on message boards with my first pregnancy...

I'm showing a little bit--no one has noticed who doesn't know I'm pregnant, but last night some friends noticed my little belly. I'm in mostly maternity now. I look more pregnant in maternity than just baggy clothes. . I'm measuring about a week ahead--with my first I measured small (and he was very low birth weight, unknown cause), with dd I measured 2 or 3 weeks ahead until around 30 weeks. I think I look about the same at this point as I did when I was pregnant with her. I started out about 10 lbs thinner (the result of lots of nursing dd and chasing around my active ds, and carting around my chubby dd), but have already gained over 10 lbs.

I'm in the stage where sweats fit great and my maternity pants almost fit. Everyone that sees me claims that I have popped out.

I am not sure if I am just getting used to the sight of myself in the mirror or what, but I feel like I show less than I did 2 weeks ago. Hubby says I am imagining things.
Perhaps I had a growth spurt a few weeks ago and have recently stayed about the same size long enough the get used to my new shape.
I'm not worried or anything, have felt baby movement lately, but think it's weird.

I've always had a bit of a belly, even when I was a skinny thing. I'm obviously showing, and have been for er...a good month now. I feel huge, but I'm not really I suppose. I've always been kind of embarrassed about my pot belly, and this isn't helping things any, even if it's for a good reason. *laughs* My skirts with elastic waists keep riding up over my belly, which I find kind of annoying, but hey, at least I still have a couple that fit me! :D

I have a belly to start with and now it is just getting pushed out!! Which is of course making me look bigger than I really should be right now. My pants are totally going up over my belly already too. Never thought before I was pregnant that the top of my pants would sometimes touch my bra!!!!

Baby Jeri insists on using my bladder as a body pillow. S/he is so far down there although the uterus is about an inch away from my belly button. So, I am hardly showing, although I feel like I will pop out anyday now.

I had kind of a big belly to start with.
I have two bellies really, an upper belly and a lower belly. Both are getting bigger. If I didn't have this upper belly, people probably would not be able to tell. I definently look pregnant now especially when I wear maternity clothes(which I'm wearing more and more).
It will be nice when my two bellies merge and become one belly.
Anyway I hope thats whats gonna happen.:)

Jodie,

:LOL Good luck with the merge! :p

Jodie spoke for me. My upper belly usually sits pretty flat (my mom has always said that I have great posture and so I look like I have a flat tum!!) but now that the babe is pushing it up - that plus the feeling of being bloated anytime I eat - I look way huger than I really am. Pregger pants seem to fit best when they're up over both bellies.

MW found my fundus to be 2-3 cm below my navel. Jo is psyched for my bellybutton to turn inside out. :LOL

Jen and Jodie - :D I promise the two bellies will merge! That's my problem too. The thing is, my upper belly is already getting pushed out. At least the over the belly preggo pants help to create the "merged" look.

The elastic waiste of my maternity pants slides down and gets stuck between the two.

My theory for the two is that everything (internal organs) is being pushed up to the top by the growing uterus. I'll just blame it on that.

Melanie - I had to safety pin some maternity pants today, because all my old stuff won't fit and all my maternity stuff is still to big. :p If I didn't have to go to work, I would just wear sweats for a couple of weeks. I feel kind of silly, like I'm "trying" to look more pregnant than I really am.

Jodie

:LOL Thanks Sarah for the reasurance.

Glad I'm not the only one with "two" bellies.:)
Y'all are right though things like dresses, overalls, and maternity pants help my tummy look more "merged".

I think its funny that I'm only 16 weeks and people can already tell I'm pregnant, and I'm already wearing some maternity clothes.
Dh said last night,"Well you've been wanting to look pregnant and have a pregnant belly so, you got it."

Trying to imagine what I will look like in September.:)

O.K.
So for awhile there I was convinced that i had shrunk... well I was definitely imagining things. I think maybe I paused, but am once again leaping ahead. My skin feels all tight and achy from how big my belly is. And the "super bra" i bought about a month ago is leaving welts across my nipples!!! Good grief!

When i walk my belly swings back and forth, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right.......

Time to take more pictures

I think my belly button is about to pop... You know, become an outy instead of an iny. It feels all tight and achey.
So my question is..... Will it gradually move out? Or... will I be walking along and suddenly hear a POP! and look down to see my belly button poking out?

Just wondering? te hee hhheeee

I can tell with myself, that the bottom belly is all babies, and the top belly is all gut, because I look slim and pregnant between meals, but after I eat a big meal, I just look monstrous! =O)

I bought a pair of Gap "Long and Lean" jeans two sizes too big at the beginning of my pregnancy, had to belt them. They kindof go under the tummy, but not as much as those low rise types. I'm now 17 weeks along with twins, and those wonderful jeans still work for me! I need a belt (by the way, I chose one of hubby's belts and poked my own holes) between meals, but can now wear them without a belt when the upper belly is big. =O)

Everyone asks me how I can possibly fit into normal, cute jeans still. I tell them my secret. Oh, and these jeans will be great for the transition after birth back to a slimmer tummy.

Anna :banana , are you rubbing cream or oil onto that growing, itchy belly of yours? It's supposed to help. I indulged and bought a jar of "Pregnant Belly Salve" by Motherlove at the co-op because I'm starting to get stretch marks :eek despite the fact that I've been rubbing my whole body with jojoba oil every day. But I also get stretch marks really easily... all over the place.

I have to grump a little and say that I wish my breasts were growing, they're just constantly tender and the nipples are about 10 shades darker than they used to be, but my pre-pregnancy bras fit just fine. I guess I should be happy that I haven't had to go out and buy lots of new bras eh!

Savannah- Congrats on your twins!!!!!!!! Twins have such a wonderful, beautiful bond :) You're going to have a blast!

I'm about 15 weeks and feeling like I'm not showing much at all. I'm very petite so usually I show pretty quickly. With my first two pregnancies I was in maternity clothes before the end of the first trimester (however, they were both twin pregnancies so that could be why). This time I'm wearing bigger size pants but mainly have a good size belly after I eat then it shrinks :)

So, I'm embarressed to say that I've worried about my lack of growth this time! hahaha You'd think I'd have this down by now...this being my 4th babe...

Congrats everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wave
