A woman who has sold over 500 litres of her breast milk since last May, has bought a car with the income.
Anette Lie was paid £11 per litre and has made a total of £5,275, says Nettavisen quoting the Kanal 24 radio station.
She said: I'm making some money on this. I bought a car, everything paid by breast milk."
Lie said her ability to produce so much breast milk is genetic. "My mother was the same way, and I've heard my grand mother nursed children around town, so it's hereditary. It's my hormones. I apparently have lots of them."

Well, how about that? "Lots of them" Heh-heh. I do have to wonder, was she also feeding her baby at the same time? I sure hope so!

What a strange story! lol
I was just wondering tonight if there is somewhere in my area I could go to donate milk once my baby is born. I would love to do that and I have always over produced. I would love to help a new little one that for one reason or another has no other way to benefit from breast milk. I don’t know though.... they may not accept mine because of medication I take.... Well, something to look into.

I did not donate to a bank, just to my nephews. I made them 1000 ounces but only shipped 800. My sister was cool with what meds I did take, foods I ate, etc.
That link is for North America, I would think there would be others. Plus there is the quietly done exchanges among friends/ family. A member of our LLL was nursing an adopted infant and had some friends share with her.

my midwife called me when my youngest was about a year, and asked if i'd be interested in helping a local mama who had just adopted a little girl. the baby was having a terrible time with all the different formulas they'd tried, and although the mama had lactated many years before (a stillbirth), she was not yet able to get any sort of milk supply going.
my lil guy was eating solids like a horse, though he nursed until he was 3 1/2. so it wasn't a big deal to start pumping and getting my supply up again... i was able to get her a couple of bottle-fuls a day.
i felt like a hero! the baby loved it, and while she couldn't survive on my extra milk exclusively, she at least got a break from the fake stuff and was able to sleep more. the mama was sooo grateful, and all i was doing was pumping and driving it over each day!
we kept it up for a month or so, gradually mixing with the formula she was finally able to stomach.
if you ever have a chance to do this, please consider it. it's truly one of the nicest things i've ever done, for the baby and for myself.

There is only one problem I have with pumping - time constraints! I barely had the time to ever do it for DD - I just took her everywhere or didn't go so I can't imagine what will be the case with this one!
