:( I was so excited to get our own forum so we could get to know each other better, but nobody is posting anything.
Personally I am in that really boring stage of pregnancy. Nothing new happening. No aches, pains or complaints to speak of.
Hasn't anyone had any doctor's appts to post about? Any excitement? Any anything?!

Yeah, no excitement here! LOL. I forget I am pregnant most of the time.
Baby was kicking DD's head and my bladder at the same time earlier. Is that exciting?
And I totally agreed with you about that general thread being too long. I couldn't ever keep up with it....

I went to my 2nd midwife appointment yesterday!! I'm so happy! I had asked my mom to watch ds#1 at the birth, but was having doubts as I slowly learned how appauled she was with the idea. DH supports my decision, but still thinks a hospital is better. So, I took them along to meet the mw and my mom is much better. She feels alot safer now that she knows it's not just "some young hippy that wants to catch a baby". :LOL I'll see if she's really supportive of it today. Now I have to work harder with dh. He got scared when he heard there's a 10% chance of having to go to the hospital. Too bad he doesn't see the 90% chance of staying home instead. I'll be working on him for a while. Shouldn't be too hard after he saw the higher level of care. He's stuck on the "possibilities", but he trusts that I know what I'm doing.
Ok. Well, that's my excitement. It was a wonderful appointment. Everything's fine. The baby's head down still, so hopefully he'll stay that way. Oh, and the mw gave me an excercize for my siatic nerve and told me to ice it 2x a day. She said that it's bad enough that if I don't do something I could end up in a wheelchair before the end of the preg. :( But unlike the dr.s she gave me a cure instead of tylenol. :D
It feels much better already, and I've only done it twice. :D :D :D
Has anybody else been having siatic problems?

luvinmama-
There are many stretches in pregnancy that you can do to help with sciatica. I also have that problem without pregnancy, and anyone who just tells you to take tylenol is giving you BULL.
The muscles around the nerve need to remain flexible and you need to stretch the area to help alleviate the pain....

Hi all - I haven't been around because of a recent move and problems with our internet connection. I try to keep track of everyone at work, but feel guilty taking time to actually post myself.
Also, I'm feeling very good lately too. I did have some bad news that I am NOT imune to Fifth disease, which could be harmful to the fetus. There have been several cases in my son's daycare, but blood test confirm that I have not been directly exposed to it yet. Now I'm totally paranoid that my son will contract it and give it to me. I have told my boss that I'm going to quit sooner than planned, but that is still a month away. . . I'm just hoping for the best.
Hope everyone else is doing well!

i'm feeling good. i've been ignoring the dr's advice to stay off my feet :blush so... have been enjoying taking walks in the beautiful spring weather! :D
the baby is so active!! she's as active, or more so, than my #1... so... i think she'll be a little ball of energy just like her brother. :LOL
i had found a midwife in the area (after 6 months of looking!), and contacted her... but they aren't going to be in the area in July! :crying so... i'm considering UC, because i HATE hospitals and i SO don't want to go.
