Hey all you September mamas and partners. Between Steph, Anna and I (Jerome) we have come up with the fun idea of starting a new thread that will allow all of us who have been living the September mamas discussion vicariously to be active participants:thumb

Let's get together and chat!

I suppose I can start off by introducing myself.

My name is Jerome and I am the dh of Anna (aka :banana girl). We live in Madison, WI and we are expecting our first :baby somewhere in the middle of September.

I am a student at Edgewood College (a small, private school) where I am studying to receive my intial educator liscense (I wanna be a teacher:D ). I will be teaching Spanish; hopefully at the middle school level, and I am due to begin student teaching in the fall (right about when our little baby is due to arrive).

I have been really enjoying the experience of pregnancy, although I can understand that I have the easier part of the arrangment (i.e. I make the food and Anna and baby eat, process, vomit, and otherwise deal with the food:love ). Really, I have a lot of fun, but it is a lot of work too.

Well, now I'll sit back and see if anyone decides to accept this new thread...

:wave , Jerome

Cool idea, and I would like to get my husband on here, but he is a one-fingered typer and tries to stay away from anything keyboard-related. :LOL

Ok. so I admit it... I talk about you guys ALL THE TIME. I am always telling Jerome about the funny things you guys post. I guess I got him hooked by sharing this with him.
That and I always post at the end of the day, right around the time work ends and we go home. So he is always reading over my shoulder..... lurker!

Anyway, I hope you ladies can convince your partners to sign on and see how much fun it can be!

Calling all partners, come in partners......
breaker, breaker?

I'm tryin', Anna, Jo likes to read over my shoulder, but she doesn't seem too keen on doing it herself. I'll keep working on her!

My dh won't do it!! He thinks people who talk on the internet are weird:rolleyes:

He is finally starting to actually use email, so there is hope yet!

:jammin I GOT TO FEEL THE BABY MOVE!!!!

It was soooooo cool. I don't know if any of the other partners have had this experience yet (of course some of you September mamas are experiencing pregnancy for a second, third, more? time) but this was my first time.

Anyway, I thought it was really amazing. I have felt a baby kick before, but this is our baby. We made this one...:jaw

I have to go...too much to do right now.

adios amigos.

Jerome - I'm posting for Jo... who is a bit jealous. When Sprout is kicking, she puts her hand on my belly, but then s/he stops kicking... so jo is still waiting in vain!

Congrats to you!

:D

Jerome, it is so sweet that you are here...my husband...well:rolleyes:

This is our sixth pregnancy, fourth child, so I guess it is old hat to him!

Jen, everytime my DH puts his hand, this little one stops moving too!! Poor partners....

Well, i asked my husband if he had any advice for the new parents to be, and he said

"Haha...just wait! You think mood swings are bad now, just wait till the baby gets here. My advice is to humor your lady, don't argue about ANYTHING, and always admit you are wrong. And when the tears start, don't laugh at her, just hug her!" James
