I just got a yoga for pregnancy dvd, and I like that a lot, also I'm trying to walk at lunch, trying to be disciplined and do one or the other everyday.
I'm not eating much more than usual, except that I'm trying to get everything in that I'm supposed to (protein, green vegetables, orange vegetables, milk....), but I feel like I'm way over eating if I eat all the servings of everything I'm supposed to eat. In general I'm trying to eat a protein at 2 out of 3 meals, or 3 out of 3 if possible, eating/drinking 3-4 (organic) dairy servings daily, adding an extra serving of vegetables at dinner, and maybe having a mid-morning luna bar.
Does anyone have any suggestions about a good wheat-free cracker for morning sickness? I haven't had much nausea yet, but I'm expecting I will soon, and I was going to try and go wheat free for the pregancy.

Hil, what's your DVD called? Anyone else have a video/DVD for pg? I want to start walking. I need to do something because I am already finding it hard to climb stairs that were fine just a few weeks ago.
Food-wise, I was eating a ton the first week, but my appetite has slowed to normal. Trying to eat the best I can. I have no adversions at this point - or cravings - which is much different than last time.

The DVD is called "Postures for Pregnancy" and I got it on overstock.com for $11.00 (including shipping) which is why I chose it. The beginning is a little long and slow if you're familiar with Yoga, but overall I think it's a good program

I have a really great diet due to my nursling's allergies. I eat about 95% from scratch, except rice milk, some ketchup and some brown rice crackers (GF, brand Edwards and Sons, I found them in the HFS, hilary, and they have a bunch of different flavors).
My diet consists of some fruit and/or whole grains in the morning, a big bunch of kale for lunch and lots of beans and veggies during the day. We also juice vegetable juice once a day. I'm also drinking a big glass of rice milk every day for the B-12, even though I do eat eggs once a week. I just want to be on top of that.
I have a very poor exercise routine. My biggest problem was having an empty stomach to do yoga. But now that I'm pregnant, I'll never have an empty stomach (or I'm sure I'll :Puke ), so now I have more time w/my hubby to arrange child care (my 2 yr old constantly tries to latch on when I am not on the offense  ) We live in town, so once it warms up, we'll be walking a lot more too, which I love. And, not to mention, the general chasing of a two year old that will happen this summer, especially at the beach where we try to go a few times a week.

I'm hungry a lot between meals and trying to snack on things like cashews or almonds, or slices of tofu, hard boiled eggs, etc. My exercise routine is about 3 times a week, my own made up yoga kind of routine, plus hopping around on the mini trampoline!

I'm doing a Yoga DVD call ZenMama with Rainbeau Mars. Also walking a very small amount, and doing parts of a (nonprenatal) bellydancing DVD.
I'm using a food diary to track my eating, making sure I get at least 6-8 glasses of water each day, 5 fruits and veggies, and 2-3 milks. My concern isn't GAINING weight, but losing it. I lost 10 lbs in my first pregnancy (during first 10 weeks) and 20 lbs in my second (first 20 weeks). I did gain after that, but all the same, I'd like to really keep my losses and gains moderate. Basically, I want to follow the diet recommended in Fertility, Nutritions and Cycles.

I am not eating drastically different, except to be more mindful of what i put into my body and whether it is doing me any nutitional good. What I ate today (which wasn't great, but it is what it is):
Breakfast: Didn't (but usually have ww toast)...slept in instead:LOL
Lunch: Three small pieces of veggie pizza, one breadstick w/pizza sauce, one slice of dessert pizza and a huge glass of water
Dinner: 1 1/2 slices French toast, Boca brat sausage, frozen blueberries and strawberries, a Dr. Pepper on ice (I know, that was bad).
I signed up for a 3 month softball league with "older" ladies before I knew for sure I was pregnant. It is pretty low key, but I am hoping it at least will get me out walking and doing some light running.

I'm probably going to follow the Brewer's diet again (albeit a bit loosely) for this pg. I'm eating lots of fruits and veggies and trying to eat more protein. I'm still figuring out how I'm going to get in all the calcium this time. I get congested on milk and had a disturbing experience with soy last time.... I'm not all that fond of rice milk and don't think I can possibly eat enough leafy greens to get the full amount. I've also been eating lots of yogurt.
I'm really hoping to do better on exercise this time. I joined Curves about a month ago and am hoping to be able to do this through my whole pregnancy. I'm also looking forward to doing jogging as able and then walking with DD as the weather gets better. DD1 was so low in my pelvis during the whole pregnancy that it felt like she was going to drop out at any minute the whole time. Very uncomfortable. I'm hoping this bean will like riding a bit higher.

I've been maintaining my exercise routine which was jogging/walking 3-4 times per week and a wt training class. I must admit I've slacked off on the weight training but as I am feeling more energetic, I'll add that back. My midwife suggested listening to my body especially during this time of organ development - which makes complete sense to me.
As for food, I am trying to get my protein in the form of hard-boiled eggs for breakfast, fish (great salmon and halibut here in Alaska!), chicken, etc... I also have had fruit smoothies with ground flax seed for breakfast. I need to concentrate on adding more veggies this week because I slacked off on the salads I usually eat. Although I had brocoli a few times this week for the calcium.
I am going to check out the local prenatal yoga studio because I'd love to add that to my routine.

I've been more mindful of my diet - trying to get enough protein. We keep kosher so only eat chicken at home rarely since it's so expensive. Basically we're vegetarian, which means that for us we eat a lot of pasta. Of course now it's passover so we're not even eating that now...
I'm really liking almond milk, and normally eat it with granola. I've also started limiting my sugar, and I'm trying not to go overboard on carbs since I'm not running now.
I am trying to walk a lot more (I stopped running a little while before I got pregnant and didn't want to start up out of the blue.) There are a lot of things local to us that I can walk to, so I'm trying to do that more instead of hopping in the car. We're also riding bikes when the weather's nice.

I'm just trying to get anything in. I struggled with hyperemesis with DD 2 years ago. Now I am a little nausious. So I'm trying to always have something in my tummy. Lots of Triscuits, soy milk. Plus chocolate to keep Bean and I happy:belly
I'm doing Yoga for exercise. I've been in a hatha class since Sept 2003. I'm just going to stay in it and not push as hard and not do the tummy stuff and whatever else you can't do while pregnant. My teacher has taught prenatl yoga, so it's all good. Plus, the class scheduled time is good for me and DD. The rec center even has a daycare, so DD has fun too!

When do you have to start eating more and really worrying about diet? I am 4 weeks pg and I have a pre-natal vitamin. I've been doing Weight Watchers, and I'm a little freaked about gaining a ton of weight but obviously want to do what's best for the little sprog.
I got What to Expect from the library, and the diet the recommend seems a bit extreme (as in, a lot of food and very little margin for cravings and "unhealthy" foods like ice cream). As long as I'm not feeling hungry, can I stay on WW for awhile, or do I have to immediately start eating more? Anyone know if there is a way to modify WW for pregnancy? I really liek the points system, and I currently get 22 a day. It would be great to know that I should be aiming for 30 or 35 or whetever if it meant I would gain the "right" amount of weight.
Surely someone somewhere has figured out something like this, right?
