New hope born after tradgedy...

Mama's,
Thank you all for your kind support during my pregnancy. As some of you know I had a stillborn child at 39 weeks, Clara, born July 7, 2000. I gave birth (VBAC)to Jake Bryan on May 13, 2002. He is so incredible and looks just like his sister, I mean IDENTICAL. He is a complete angel, he seems like such a wise soul, he just looks around like he knows everything, more than I do anyway. I had a good cry over Clara with him just listening to me yesterday. I feel so blessed that he is here, the smell of him is so enchanting, I never got to smell Clara. I posted his birth story on the May hipmommas thread under I'm pregnant and an abridged version in the VBAC threads if anyone wants more info.
Though Clara will always be my 1st born, Jake has brought new love and laughs to my broken heart!

I can't tell you how overcome with joy I am for you. I could have written thoes exact words when my son was born. I remember looking at him in absolute amazement. I still think he knows the secrets of the univers.

Your also overcome with emotions right now. I understand your cry for Clara. Know that precious Jake will know his sister in a very special way has he grows. You'll find ways to keep her alive within you and to truely live and love life.

I'm excited to read your birth story on the other threads. If you get a moment, write down as much as you can. This way you can share it with him when he get's older.

Take that precious child in your arms tonight and kiss him once gently for me. You're coming full circle in your greif and your in my thoughts.
