I have no idea! I was convinced last time that Mylo was a girl, so I'm reluctant to hazard a guess this time. :)

No idea! ALthough I am having crazy dreams that it is twins :eek

I acutally have a way of predicting my babies - between my sister and all my cousins we have 16 'babies' ranging from 4 1/2 - 6 months. They have all been born in a girl, boy, girl, boy order...which puts me at having a boy - and all the Chinese predictor charts say boy too! BUT I BD'ed 5 DAYS before I O'ed which makes me think it would be a girl.....who knows! We found out the sex of both of our other children - but we may wait for the birth this time since we have a boy and a girl already....but that is not for sure LOL!

I am feeling soooooo sick and I felt this way with my son. MY guess is boy, and this agrees with the chinese chart.

i don't really know. i knew long before i even got pregnant the first time i'd have a girl first. i'd always pictured it that way and then got very nervous that i'd be disappointed or something if i ended up having a boy first. this time i had some girl dreams prior to getting pregnant, but i can't shake the feeling this baby is a boy. i even find myself referring to him as he or him. which is interesting because before getting pregnant, he was a she :LOL

Jessica, How funny because my story is the same. I always thought of family as being all girls, whether I have 2 children or more. But as soon as I got pg, I can't convince myself that this baby is a girl. It can only be a boy. It's so strange. I can't explain it. Last pg, everyone thought it was a boy, but I couldn't shake that it was a girl - and she was!

Despite normally being *very* tuned in to ourselves and each other...DH is saying, "Girl" and I'm saying, "Boy"

I hate to say it, but I guess I really have no idea. I think it's because Shanon, my DH, has always leaned towards having girls and I'm a tad afraid of the teenage years of girls.

I will be thrilled to death to hold either gender tightly to me come December.:love

I'm sure it's a girl...no a boy...no a girl... no a boy!
I have mixed feelings and they all feel so strong!

I had a feeling with my first and i was right...it was a boy. With my second pregnancy, I just never had a feeling, and then it ended in miscarriage. For some reason, this time around, my gut feeling is girl....but then there are times I think boy.

I just want another child so badly, that it just doesn't matter what I am holding come December!

I think it's a boy! Chinese gender chart agrees! As does the appalachian pencil test! I actually would LOVE either one. I would enjoy dressing a little girl up and doing her hair (I'm very girly myself), but my dad has 4 granddaughters, and desperately wants a little grandson, so I would be so glad to honor what his heart longs for with my first child. I've always been daddy's girl, and he always gives me whatever I want or need, even now that I'm grown up and married. I just would love to return that gift to him. Either way though, we'll all be happy and thrilled. And we are going to find out if we can (I'm not going to have an amnio or anything just to know, but if it's obvious on the U/S) because it would help us out a lot if our friends and family knew in advance what gender to buy things for.

I'm not sure, but I just think a girl. Two girls so far, why not 3 for 3? Actually, I dreamt of birthing her last night, and woke up certain that her name was Daffodil?! :huh It was really realistic too, and I wanted to go tell dh that the baby's name was Daffodil, but I didn't really care for that, and did he think maybe she'd reconsider. :LOL Yah, I'm kinda daffy myself.

I was right with Jade (confirmed by ultrasound) but wrong with Nova (sort of surprised at birth, but somehow, not really). I guess I have a 50/50 chance of being right this time?

I'm feeling strong boy vibes. I've been right with all of my other pregnancies, so we'll see. I don't want to find out the sex this time since this is definitely my last baby (dh is getting the big V sometime during this pregnancy). I have five girls and one boy so a boy would be extra nice....but either way I don't really care one way or another.

Just where can you find this chinese chart that keeps coming up in these posts? And what is the Appalachian pencil test? I'm sure it's a boy this time. I knew as soon as I got pregnant with my first son that he was a boy, although everyone in the world tried to tell me I couldn't know. With my daughter, I felt her coming months before I got pregnant. I told DP I was going to get pregnant and have a baby girl and he picked out her name, and 2 months later, I got pregnant. This time it was another "surprise" pg, so I'm sure it's a boy. Oh, yeah, when I was pg w/DD, I had lesbian dreams all the time where women were all around me and it was very sexual. Must've been all the female energy because I've never been with a woman.(Not that I wouldn't, just never have) :)

Here's the Chinese chart I found, I also found another one that was interactive, I'm not sure where, but they both said "Boy" for me Gender Prediction Chart (http://www.parentsplace.com/pregnancy/getready/pages/0,,239161_438396,00.html?arrivalSA=1&cobrandRef=0&arrival_freqCap=2)

The Apalachain pencil test is complicated, but I'll see if I can explain it. First you take a needle and thread, make it at least a foot long thread, and tie a knot in it near the end. Now push the needle into the eraser of a pencil, use the old fashioned wood kind to be authentic. Turn either of your hands palm side up and have someone hold the pencil by the knot in the thread over your wrist, about an inch or two away from your wrist is good. Wait for the pencil to stop moving, and then start again. If it moves in a circle, you will have a boy, if it moves in a line, it's a girl. Now here's the thing: you can also predict how many children you will have. The pencil will start and stop for each child you will have and predict the genders in order. So actually if your daughter was your 1st child, the pencil should indicate a girl first, stop, and then start again with the gender of this child (assuming there are no others in between). The only evidence that we have that this method works is family history. My SIL used it and it predicted a boy and a girl for her, she has a boy (in the correct order so far). For her ILs it predicted a boy, a girl and another boy. The have 2 boys and believe they miscarried one. Theoretically, it should show the same for you and your spouse (yes it works on men too). It does for my SIL and her dh, as well as for his parents. We're not sure how well it worked for us as it only showed 1 boy and we don't see how it's possible that we would stop after one! I guess something terrible could happen and we end up having to adopt the rest.

I keep having these strong feelings that it is a girl, but then there's a nagging voice in my head (my eternal pessimist?) that says, "Don't be too cocky! It'll end up being a boy!".

I laugh b/c I thought I was the only one who saw myself as the mother of only one gender of child! For me it's boy. :D

Kinda weird though ~ this pregnancy is nothing like w/DS, so everyone thinks its a girl. Plus, since we "already have" a boy, it seems like everyone needs our family to balance out have a girl too! :eyesroll

I was hoping for a boy, but I am starting to think its a girl. We were looking at baby names last night, and I couldn't find any male names I was really happy with, but easily choose female ones. I guess we'll see! :LOL

So far, all signs point to boy, which would be 3 for 3. My indications so far are:

1) I have the same cravings I had with by last two pregnancies (both boys)

2) I am carrying low so far

3) The Chinese Gender test says so (so it must be true ;) ). I have to say though that my age was somewhat borderline when I concieved (within 10 days), and my technically correct age says boy and my other age says girl, so I am calling it a toss up :LOL

Well, the Chinese chart says a girl, but it is also incorrect for my first child.

I am quite sure it a boy this time. Everything is in total opposition to my first girl-producing pregnancy. And DD is the 4th grand daughter out of 23 grandkids on DP's side (and his body decides it)!

I really really really want another girl. I am trying to will this child into being female, or at least not completely crazy like his male cousins! But the environment they are raised in has a large effect on attitude too (thank god!).

I wanted a boy the first time but knew as soon as I conceived that she was a she. Maybe this one will at least look something like me!!

I will try the pencil test out though.

ME TOO~! Funny thing is that this pregnancy is so different but I still have this nagging feeling like, of course it's a girl, I'd like a boy! The chinese gender says it's a girl bit it said Meg was a boy.. I don't buy into it.I feel alot different, Have real morning sickness this time and I never did with my girls much. I haven't gained any weight, I gained a TON with the girls. Never know, I'm hoping it's a HEALTHY BOY!

I have a strong BOY feeling, even tho the Chinese chart says girl. I have been correct with my other 2 kids.. and I just already think of this one as a boy.
I'm probably jinxing myself because we have only agreed on a boy's name and DH thinks boy, too!

well, the chinese chart and the needle/thread test said I'm having a girl... But the ultrasound tech and doctor say otherwise. I guess we'll see, it's still a little early.

Well, my almost 14 yo is the expert gender predictor in the family. He correctly guessed the sex of his 4 siblings. We even had 2 u/s with #3 and were told "girl" both times--we had a boy just like my son said! I also have felt for a long time that if I ever had another child, it would be a boy. 14 yo says definitely BOY this time. We shall see. If it's a girl, I will be REALLY surprised! The chinese chart (lunar based) says 'girl' this time though and it was correct for all of my other 5 children.

My husband has been saying it's a girl for sure. I just found a link for a Chinese predictor. It says girl, too.

...So I guess I wn't get my very half-hearted spiteful wish for a boy, just to make my grandmother mad. ;) She, my mom and I were all single child girls. She wants me to continue the tradition and was hurt when I told her we want two or three children. So, she said, "Maybe the first will be a girl, at least." She helped break up my mother's marriage right after my birth, due to this BS. But, it isn't something I really am concerned about, so...eh....whatever.

I just look forward to our first new family member, no matter what.

i had another baby girl dream last night. this time i was giving birth at home, but for some reason there was a hospital bed here and a nurse that kept coming back and forth. but dh caught her and that was cool and i was so excited that i'd been able to have a homebirth afterall though was confused about the hospital bed, which of course disappeared after i was done birthing.

it's so weird to wake up from such a vivid dream and realize not only am i still pregnant, but i still have 6 months to go before this baby arrives. i remember thinking she was very early in the dream, but perfectly healthy and big so that was another source of confusion.

and fwiw, i still can't shake the boy feelings when i'm awake....:LOL

oh yeah, chinese chart says it's a girl too, and it was right about dd
