Strep throat

My ds has step throat. I was busy being relieved (his symptoms were really odd and on Monday we did a work up for Juvenile Diabetes... which thankfully he does NOT have) and today it dawned on me that I am pregnant!

Is there any risk to the baby with strep in the house? I have no symptoms and neither does anyone else in the house.

Even though you don't have symptoms, you might want to get a throat culture and make sure you're not sick/carrying strep. I know that when they give you antibiotics for strep throat, they're not actually treating for the sore throat (which will go away on it's own, usually within 4-7 days) but for other rare and potentially severe complications.

I've been a strep carrier several times, and I've never had a sore throat at all. Not even swollen tonsils.
