Hi, my name is Jessica. I am also due in November, but refuse to elaborate, to many people's frustration. because I don't want to be asked a month before my due date the silly question/statement, "You haven't had that baby yet?" And Heaven forbid a baby not arrive on everyone else's timetable. Anyway, I am a student midwife expecting my second baby, first was stillborn 8 years ago. I have been married for a little more than 2 months, pregnant since that night. We're very excited about this baby. My husband and I both come from very mainstream families, my M-I-L is even a nurse. So it's sometimes a challenge to be the odd men out. I'm not at all looking forward to the battles I'm sure will ensure once our babies arrives. I think we'll do on okay with not circumcising, but we're also the home waterbirth (which everyone is getting used to, but still likes to tell me there's no way I'll be able to handle labor unmedicated) , non-vaccinating, chiropractor and naturopath, no MD, cloth diapering, etc kind of couple, so I love that I can come here and have a place that's not such a battlefield, and get support and be understood. Sorry about the long intro. I guess there was more on my chest than I realized. I'm so grateful for this forum. Thanks for listening.
