We were talking about NH mamas meeting up in another thread, but nothing's happened. So, who wants to meet up? Maybe we can plan something soon. Any ideas or times? I need to meet some like minded mamas!

We were discussing Portsmouth since there's so much to do there. The park, food, plays and music in the summer. We could do other places too, though. :)

i'd really like to get together with you mamas, but can't plan ahead right now. baby is due soon :) i think i can make it the earliest in july. unless we find a date maybe next week at a park in manchester or so... the nicest one here is off of rt. 101 in bedford. but that's quite a drive for the gals from the seacoast/portsmouth area, so go ahaead and plan this one w/o me.

manchester or concord might be a good midway from claremont and the seacoast

I'm in Lebanon, so that's the other side of the state from Portsmouth (if I'm remembering NH geography correctly- I've only lived here a year!). That's a long to drive to ask of a 15 month old- I'm not sure that would be an enjoyable experience for either of us! :)

Looks like you NH momies are getting it together, I'll have to inform dd. She's in Hooksett NH. I would think the general vicinity around Manchester is good for her, too.

Weekends are really hard for me since we usually travel. I can usually do something during the week though.

This weekend we will be at NHIS - my husband races motorcycles. So if anyone will be there I will be the one chasing a blonde 2 1/2 yr old and have a double stroller. Im sure I will stick out likea sore thumb! :)

Maybe we could each have our own meetings, whenever and a collective meeting later.

Seems like a couple of people are from the same general area...

I'm in Nashua, if somebody wants to plan something there, in Merrimack, Manchester, Hooksett, Goffstown, or where-ever else centrally located to those...

What say you?

That would be great! We are in the Manchester area and want to get together soon! :D How is this week looking for Nashua, Manchester, etc. I know of another mama in manchester as well. We could just meet at Barnes and Noble or something, just to get started meeting other mamas? :wink

whoever wants to join us....we'll be at livingston park in manchester today at 3:30pm.
take 93 N, exit 9S and go straight until you see the park on your right. or from manchvegas downtown, take 28 N all the way until it merges onto hooksett rd, keep going straight, the park will be on your left.
i'll have jakob, 21 months with me and the baby in a dark blue pram/stroller.

hope to see some more mdcmommas there...if not, let's plan for next week :)

I guess I am really late in the game here. I noticed there was a meeting on 101/Bedford. I live off of 114. My house is on the Bedford line. I am 2-minutes from the 101. (Wallace RD). I prefer to get to know some of you ladies and then meet in the future.

I should add that I have a 7-month old daughter and a 12 & 10 yr old son.

Hi,
I just found this group. I am in Franklin NH and would love to meet other nh moms. I am mom to one ds. 3 month old Jake. We are free most weekdays.

BTW, does anyone have a nonvaccinating friendly pediatrician they could suggest in the franklin, laconia, concord area?

Can't wait to meet some of you,
Katrina and Jake

this is hard, getting all the mommas together....so i'll just make a start:
i'll be at the park in bedford tomorrow am around 3:30. from 101 take nashua rd (on you left coming from manchester, north). go staright til you see the basebal field on your left. take a left right after that and again the next left. the park is divided in the lower, kiddie area and the big kids area. it's nice and clean and has sand on the ground instead of that darn mulch (i hate that stuff...). there's a nice grassy field right there.
hope to see some of you guys there. we can plan something closer to some of you mommas for next week. how about white park in concord? i've never been there, but heard it nice.
o, btw, i'll have my 22 months old son with me and my 8 week old son, either in a dark blue pram or a mayawrap. i'll probably have another friend with me, she has a 4,5 mos old bald little cutie.

*waves hello*

I don't know of a non-vax PED in the area .. But there's an AWESOME family practicioner in Bristol that we see - Gary Diederich, at Speare Medical Associates (He's in between Village Pizza and the hair salon, 744-6200 is offc #), and we LOVE him! I just flat out told him "We're not vaxxing DD anymore, I don't see a reason for it." His reply : "Ok, as long as you've done your research." *lol*

I'm in Tilton, BTW ;)

Hi every one! I started this thread ages ago and then life happened and I forgot all about it. Sorry! :innocent

Any ways, I was wondering if any one was up for a playgroup/meeting in the seacoast area? Maybe Prescott Park in Portsmouth? I'm free most weekends, except for the weekend of 8/7 &8.

Let me know. :)

alison77
07-31-2004, 02:50 PM
i will be up for meeting in the seacoast area but not for a few weeks. we've started the move back to hampton - we have through sept 1 - and so our weekends will be crazy until then . . . . lucas (ds) and i are looking forward to playgroups though!!!

08-02-2004, 01:53 PM
Hi every one!

Does any one have a prefered Sunday? Like I said, any weekend is good except for this coming weekend. I'll leave it up to you ladies.

Jacobsmami: PP is right off of 95. I think from Manchester it would be 93 or 101 to 95. I can give more detailed directions when we pick a date. Also, of course dhs are welcome. Mine probably won't come because Sundays are usually his day to play though.

Cutie Patootie
08-02-2004, 02:29 PM
We are definetly up for Sunday at PP. I will bring my dh Annika! :)

I was thinking maybe we could set a weekly or biweekly meeting on the same day and place. Then whoever could make it can pop in and we won't have to figure out where and when. What do you all think?

LdyBluNH@aol
08-02-2004, 02:34 PM
if you change locations you may get moms to attend that can't do other locations -- if that makes any sense LOLL

someone who can't get to portsmouth may be able to come to a future meeting in manchester or concord

On the agenda Sunday at Prescott Park: (artfest.org)

Art Association show 12 - 5
Magic show at 4
and
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at 7.

Tables for Joseph are $15. ea. for 4 people. They ask a $5 donation to enter.

Joseph is a great show for kids. My three-year-old has a crush on Joseph. She blushes and says, "I'm shy about him!"

My vote is for Joseph. Let me know ahead of time and we can get tables (easiest) or I will reserve a place for blankets and lawn chairs.

zoebugsmom
08-02-2004, 06:31 PM
If we can do it on the 15th, I'm in for Joseph. We haven't made it to the play yet this year. We usually do it once with the whole family. Although with the kiddos, I think the grass is better. The kids have more room to run around.

Nevermind. I just saw that the last day for Joseph is the 14. If I can get my car on the road by this weekend, I can go the 8th.

mittendrin
08-02-2004, 09:37 PM
sorry, we can't make it to joseph. we have almost an hour drive and it would get too late for us. dh has to get up in the middle of the night...and ds would crash by then anyways.
anybody up for meeting earlier?

mittendrin
08-02-2004, 09:39 PM
btw, i like tina's idea of having a set day for a playdate. we can change locations, play it by ear or set up locations ahead. should we create a poll to figure out the best day?

Cutie Patootie
08-02-2004, 10:27 PM
We wouldn't be able to make it that late either. We are up for something earlier. :)
I think a poll would be great but sometimes this thread moves so slowly we might not get results until it's too cold to meet outside! :LOL
JK, yep, let's set up a poll. :D

paloma
08-03-2004, 08:26 AM
Okay, everyone! magic show on the lawn at 4?

Let's go!

zoebugsmom
08-03-2004, 03:02 PM
I can go any time that day, I think. How bout every one else?

paloma
08-03-2004, 03:51 PM
We'll find a place on the lawn to meet when we get a number, and I will find a beacon, maybe a red balloon? . . .to alert other mdcs.
