Ordinary for me is m/s all day long everyday...getting worse the later in the day it gets.
Well, I woke up this morning and there was nothing....I didn't feel even the slightest bit sick. I was so incredibly worried, because my last pregnancy...the m/s dramatically dropped off when the baby stopped developing. So, I was scared that it was happening again.
I made an appointment with my OB, and he did a vaginal u/s....and I saw our baby...and he/she had a very strong heartbeat...and the doctor said that everything looked perfect. I am so relieved and thankful that all is well!

My m/s seems to ebb and flow. Some days it's TERRIBLE, others not so bad. I was about to post a related question myself:
I know morning sickness tend to go away at the end of the first trimester. So does it typically go away BY 12 or 14 weeks, or does it start to improve by then?

larissa, So happy that everything is OK!!!
laura, with my first dd, it didn't go away until 16 weeks. I'm in week 10 and it has been getting better everyday. So, I guess what I am trying to say is, it all depends. Sorry I have nothing better. :shrug

Larissa, same thing happened to me with DS - went in to the NP and everything because it was so weird (I was SOOO sick and then woke up with nothing).
Laura, it generally starts to subside at around 12 weeks and drops off pretty fast, but some people (like lucky 'ole me) suffer much longer, so it isn't the guarantee they make it out to be :-(.

I haven't had much m/s. I'm ending week 8 now, and have only had twinges of nausea here and there. It does worry me sometimes, but I'm trying not to let it make me nuts.

I haven't had much m/s in the past couple of weeks either. Maybe once or twice for a few minutes every few days. I'm at 10 weeks as of this past Thursday, so my lack of nausea made me a bit nervous. However, my crazy emotions:crying, extremely oversensitive nose, and expanding waist/bustline:belly are trying their hardest to calm me down!! It's good to know that I'm not the only one wondering about this sudden m/s disappearance. It's my first baby and I'm kind of a worrywart. Oh, one more thing. I have a question. I have a horrible head cold. My ears hurt (i can't hear out of the right one), i think the glands in the back of my throat are swollen, etc. What can i take to unclog my ears and make the pain go away? Every time i call the hospital, i talk to some nurse who tells me to take a sudafed:yikes: (is she NUTS?)!! Does ANYONE have any suggestions about what I can do or take to feel better quickly? BTW, I forgot to mention that I'm getting married on Friday the 14th (6 days from now). :help I know, stress isn't helpful, but I'm trying my best to stay calm about this. Any advice would be phenomenal!!! Thanks!

I wish I could help you, but I am really not sure what is okay to take. I have always heard that sudafed is safe, but generally I stay away from meds...I hope you feel better.

Ink sudafec should be fine. I'd rather do that, then risk an infection, and then heavy duty drugs/ antibiotics. Although, I actually do have the prescription sudafed stuff in my cabinet, with the losening agent only, not the drying agent. It has helped me SO much in the past.

I know when I was ttc, alot of ladies were suggesting robotussin (only the guaifinessin type) to help with CM. -- it's a very good decongestant
I don't know if it's ok during pregnancy, but if it's ok during ttc, it might be. Anyone know?

My previous OB had plain robitussin on the list of okay medicines. I would double check, though...

My Dr. told me Sudafed is NOT okay in the first trimester. He had me take Affrin nasal spray for a sinus infection I had. He consulted with a pharmacist (and so did I, when I bought it) and the conclusion was that so little of it is absorbed into the blood stream (if any) that your liver filters it out before it gets to the baby as long as you only take it according to the directions. I only did one spray in each nostril once every 12 hours, and it really did help. I used it for 3 days and that was enough to get me through the worst of it. Beyond that, you can also take halls according to my midwife.
