I am looking for a few good opinions mama's.
This morning in the shower I had a little bit of chunky brown disharge come out while I was washing. Then I had some spotting on and off over the course of the morning. It was brownish pink. I called my dr. (who took I'm not kidding 2 hours to call me back)who thought it sounded like a yeast infection even though I know that's not what it is and i said so. I called my sister who is an aprentice midwifeand she and her preceptor agreed it sounds like old blood being pushed out maybe from a clot that formed when the baby implanted. It has completley stopped and I never experienced any cramping, but in the past few days my morning sickness, while not gone, has been better.
I am trying to be calm since it stopped and no one seemed alarmed and it seems like if it was the begining of a M/C it would get worse not stop.
What do you all think? Any one have similiar experience with this?

this sounds exactly like my experience with spotting last week. I would say that if you're not cramping or bleeding bright red blood, try not to worry too much about it. I agree that if you were miscarrying, it probably would not have stopped, and I'd imagine you'd feel crampy. Just try to rest up this weekend and take it easy. :) Thinking positive thoughts for you...

I will share my experience with you, but I know that it won't be comforting to you, and I am sorry about that.

With my 2nd pregnancy, I had a very small amount of brown discharge...only when I wiped, it was nothing major at all. The ob did a quantitative hcg test on me, and everything appeared normal...but I was already almost 12 weeks...and there is a huge range of normal. When they tried to find the heartbeat...they couldn't find it, then they pulled the u/s machine in and did an u/s. They saw the baby, but there was no heartbeat. I had no bleeding, no cramping...the only thing that was different is that my m/s dramatically dropped off right about the same time that the baby had stopped developing. I had gone from being very sick all day long...to hardly having any m/s at all.
I guess having had that experience, if it were me, I would want to check things about to make sure everything is okay...don't know if you read an earlier post by me, but I woke up on Thursday...didn't have an m/s at all, so I freaked out! I went in and they took a look at the baby for me.
There are tons of people that have even heavy bleeding and everything is okay...so, just because my experience was a bad one...doesn't mean that anything is wrong with you.
I hope that everything is perfectly okay!!!

I don't have anything to share here, but I'd like to add that your doctor should at least do an U/S if you push them enough and let them know it is really scaring you.

I've heard many women on this board say that as long as it's not bright red bleeding, it shouldn't alarm you.

Whatever is going on in there, I want to send you healthy :sticky vibes and wish you only good things. :hug

Thanks for the support! It hasn't come back and I feel as pregnant as ever so, I have decided not to worry about it. It was a big motivator in getting me off my butt to find a CNM who will fit more with my style andattitude about pregnacy and birth.
