Hi! Well..... let me start by saying that this pregnancy follows a miscarriage that I had in April. I never did get a normal cycle but found out 3 days ago that I am pregnant. I had Hcg levels drawn yesterday at approx. 16dpo and they were 142 - higher than last months! But, today, I woke up at 03:00am feeling nausea for about 2 hours.... then, fell back to sleep for a short while, but then woke at 06:00am to take dh to work. While I was up, I experienced nausea again and vomitted a large amount. I chalked it up to my first pregnancy symptom. But...... then, I've been in bed all day today with low back pain, and very achy hips joints (that usually happens to me when I get a flu, strep throat, or a virus. I have been unable to eat all day........ NO appetite. I tried to force a half of a piece of toast down. So....... due to my uncomfortable back and joints, I decided to check my temp - it was 99.0 and I took 1 tylenol because after 8 hours of writhing around in bed, I couldn't take it anymore. Plus, I was afraid it would get to high and that might be bad for the baby. So....... an hour and a half later, I took it again and it was 99.8. I don't really have any other symptoms - no sore throat, no cough, etc........ I'm paranoid about losing this baby. Especially since I didn't get my period between miscarriages. But....... I really felt AMAZINGLY good these past few weeks. I spoke with my midwife and she will check in on me tomorrow. In the meantime, I have finally started feeling better enough to drink fluids so I am trying to take in some Emergency C. The only symptom I had was vomitting once and more frequent BMs today (sorry if TMI, I'm a nurse). Being that I am a nurse in the ER and I just worked 3 12-hour shifts in a row over the weekend, it is feasible that I picked something up there. I will go to see my midwife on Monday for another Hcg level. Maybe, I'll have her do a urine test too. Maybe its a UTI! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

FWIW, I often have a highish temp while pregnant. 99 isn't all that high, if you think about it. 0.4 higher than "normal" or average. Maybe you are fighting off something, but I wouldn't be worried. Have some broth (miso is great when I'm sick), take a warm bath, do some gentle stretching, and have your hubby give you a massage. You make it.

Its worth a lot, thanks! 99.0 isn't really all that high, you are right!! I just took a nice, long shower. My back and joint pain have gone away. Temp is 99.6. I feel A LOT better. I was able to eat some toast and get a liter of water into me with some EmergenC. Miso sounds wonderful. When dh gets home, I'll see if he can get me some.

Mary, congrats on your beta numbers!
I hope u just caught a little bug.
I know I've had a horrid sore throat the past few days. I think when u get pregnant your immune is lowered, so maybe thats just what it is.
You are staying pregnant, girl- no doubt about it, ok??? :D

oh my gosh, sweetpea - I was so calm finding out about this pregnancy. Now, I'm a bit paranoid. My fever went up to 101.0 last night. Today, its down to 100.4. I am just going to rest and take it easy.
As for the beta numbers, I don't even know if those beta numbers are good or not, do you know the ranges??????? And, I am TOTALLY thinking of you!!!!!!!!! :sticky :sticky
