I'm so excited! For the last month or so (with the warming of weather and the gaining of weight and the swelling of hands) I've been having trouble getting my wedding ring on and off. On Tuesday, I couldn't move it at all, and eventually I had to pry it off under cold water. There's no way that thing is going back on!

So today, DH and I went and picked out my new I'm-pregnant-and-my-wedding-ring-doesn't-fit-on-my-finger-anymore ring! It's very simple and pretty--white gold band with three small diamonds. It's actually very similar to my wedding band. It's a full size bigger than my wedding set, and eventually I may need to size it up again, but the store will do it for free! All that for under $90!!

On a side note, I didn't get to pick out my engagement/wedding rings (which I really didn't like at first) so this was really a fun thing to do. :hearts

What fun! I'm jealous.

I have been thinking about ring shopping- I suppose I should do it before I start to swell, or I'll have to wait another 6 months or so. I have been ringless for almost a year now. :( A prong broke on my engagement ring, and it needs to be replaced, and has for well over a year. Then I lost my wedding band camping last summer- at least it was a very simple and cheap band.

Maybe you'll inspire me. :)

My ring won't come off, period :(
It stinks cause I always have my hands in water and the skin underneath my ring gets all dried out dispite me applying lotions and creams to it!

Wow! That's a great idea. Last time I was able to wear my wedding ring until the last two months or so of my pregnancy and I got it back on about a month after dd was born. For me, it was just the weight gain (no, it wasn't excessive, 29 lbs. total). I never swelled. I wasn't pregnant during the summer though. In fact, I've been a little irritated over having to buy a new wardrobe of maternity clothes since I only had 3 t-shirts and nothing else even remotely summerish. We shall see what happens this time, but I did start out 5-10 lbs. smaller this time so maybe my wedding band will fit the whole time. If not, I will remember this idea!

Last night my SIL made fun of DH, because he didn't want me to look like an unmarried pregnant woman! :rotflmao

The clerk at the store made a good suggestion: When you can wear your wedding ring again, you can get it sized to fit a different finger. I kind of like the idea of having an "I'm pregnant" ring though. It would be a fun way to "announce" the next time we get pg! Just start wearing it and see who notices!! :wink

Good idea!! Dh doesn't think one is necessary... it's me who wants to make sure everyone know that I'm not an unmarried pregnant woman. Kinda dumb, I know, but I'm proud of my DH, and love my rings. I'm not expecting to be able to wear mine much longer... so maybe I'll start shopping... I'm not really big on jewellery, but I did miss having my rings from week 16 until ds was 8months old.

I had to take mine off yesterday. With dd, I was so sad and wore it on a necklace everyday. This time, my swollen finger felt free and I am very excited. Isn't that awful? I swear, the thing was cutting off circulation to my finger. I thought I was going to pull my finger off!

I would like a pregnancy wedding ring, but we have no money! I think I'll try and find something silver and plain to wear. I don't have an engagement ring and I think my wedding ring cost about $90. :LOL What can I say, we are cheap!

I know I've gained weight but I've never had to take mine off. You can see an impression where it was if I take it off but it's never bothered me.

Oh man...pg brain strikes big time. Even after reading the thread title, I got most of the way through clynnr's original post and couldn't figure out why the heck she was so happy that her ring didn't fit any more. Duh!!!!

I didn't have a problem with DS...my rings have to fit over my big knuckles, so I can puff up quite a bit without having a problem. They do leave a dent when I take them off though. I'll probably go with putting them on a chain around my neck if it gets to be a problem this time.

Mine is starting to get a bit snug too, and I have a nice sized Cubic Zirconia ring set in 14K gold, that was always a bit big on me, so I think that will be my replacement wedding ring for the time being. By about the 8th month, I usually throw in the towel on wearing any jewelry!!!
