What are BETA numbers

What are these beta numbers I see you posting about?


Hi, all. I too am prego and due 01/01/05. This is my second. DD#1 will be 17 months when DC#2 is born (if all goes on schedule). This pregnancy was a BIG surprise.

Hey I'm from Mass also.
Well beta numbers are just the levels of hcg in your blood. When you get pregnant your body starts to produce hcg and is suppose to double every 2-3 days. Some of us get it check out, either cuz the doc orders it or there are problems-past or present. If you had a blood test to confirm pregnancy, they would just tell you positive if it's over 5. Normally most doc's don't need another unless needed. My last pregnancy I had no clue what a beta was. I hope that helped ya out.

Someone else who is having a baby soon after the last one like me.

DD is 7 1/2 months and I just found out that I am pregnant this past Thursday.

I am still getting used to the idea and trying to figure out how to make it work.

Hello fello MA ladies :)

I am feeling, well awful! Super nasueas and throwing up a few times a day. It is awful, I had Hyperemesis with DD, I am PRAYING I don't get that bad this time around.

As far as the spacing between children, it was a total shocker!!! Not planned. But, I am a believer that everything happens for a reason.

I just pray my milks stay as I DO NOT WANT TO WEAN DD!
