my feet look like Fred Flinstone feet!! YIKES. I've been working a ton this week to get everything cleaned up for maternity leave. The edema in my feet is amazing!

Nothing else is swollen (and I was at the FNP on Monday and my BP and urine were fine), but my feet and ankles are huge!

Mine were huge last week too. This weekend a friend came to stay with me while DH was out of town. She is a foot doctor! She wrapped my foot in a zinc oxide/calamine lotion wrap. It was sticky so she covered that with another wrap. As the bottom layer dries, it gently decreases the swelling. I guess foot doctors use the wrap on pregnant women and older people who have circulation issues or weak veins. It is ideal to leave the wrap on for several days but we were going to a pool party Saturday afternoon so she cut it off when we got there. I had a foot and ankle again! and after only 14 hours. It felt so wonderful! If you can find a doctor to do this for you, I highly suggest it. Even though the ingredients in the wrap were nothing special you can only get the wrap from a doctor or a high end pharmacy (I asked her where I could get more!!!). Otherwise, I guess you are stuck with lots of rest - but that's not too awful either!
