Weidman recommends mothers find a food court or restaurant — someplace where they can sit down and be away from other people.
It troubles me that a LLL leader is recommending that nursing moms be away from other people.
I recommend they nurse wherever they are most comfortable, even if that's in full view of everyone.

Greaseball- I agree. I just heard about this through other means and was annoyed by the find a quiet corned thing too. Also if I'm at the mall I rarly find some place to sit I typically latch her on and keep on walking! :)

ITA. This is exactly why so many people have problems w/nip. Women keep hiding to even bf their young infants. Women need to nurse all the time in front of everyone. If everyone can get used to it, they can see it's just a normal and natural thing to do. Feeding a baby shouldn't be so taboo. If we stop hiding away to nurse, society will "get over it" that much quicker.

Do you think the author may have misquoted or taken the LLL Leader's quote out of context?
I can't think of how being in a food court or restaurant would be being AWAY from people - it would be quite the opposite.
