Hi All,
I've just joined and thought I drop a note before jumping in. I'm due Jan 28 with my second; six years after my first. I'm a bit nervous about that. We're very excited though. This will be my husband's first child

Congrats & Welcome!
I am also due January 28th! This is my 3rd child and my husband's 2nd. I had my 2nd when my 1st was 8 years old, it was like starting all over again, it still is.
Gabriel is such a great big brother, he helps a lot and is so protective of his little sister. :love
Well nice to have a due date buddy...Nadia :thumb

:eyes :lurk:
Just popping in from the feb due dates board. I can actually post in both because MY edd is Feb first whereas the medical field says January 27th. We had to do a lot of math :) Also my DD will be 8 & 2/3 when then bean is born she/he will also be Dh's first. Is there some sort of tribe for this ? What would we call it? Moms with older kids having their first babies with DHs? :thumb Might be a bit long... ;)

Hey...that's cool. We should be our own tribe, I know there are others here in the same situation. :D
Maybe the "Second babies with new Baby Daddy's Group"
"Moma's starting new families with kids from previous relationships"...LOL! :LOL They are all too long.
But anyway it's nice to meet you gals. :thumb

I could be a sub-spin off group - mom's having first baby with dad who already has 15 y.o.

Its nice to see other people in the same place that I'm in. It really is quite different.
DH is having all the 1st baby worries I've already had, so I've been pooh-poohing him; "Why are you worried there's nothing to be worried about" etc. He feels that I'm not listening to his worries and thinks I'm worring too much about other things. Its tough. Sometimes is very frustrating. Anyone else feel the same?

Yes I have been going through that ever since I was pregnant with our daughter who is now 9 months. He was always worried about the things we all worry about the first time we have a baby. I was worried about the things you worry about after you have already been through the whole experience and are having your second child.
So in some ways we were on different levels. He was also protective of baby from my 8 year old son which always really irked me and still does. But hey we manage, not so well now because I am sooooooo irritable with this pregnancy.
