I ebf and co-sleep and ds eats prolly 4x/night. I have been having crampies for a week so took hpt which was negative. So today some bloody mucus! So surprised, and a little excited. Now I'm off to library for TCOYF and will buy a thermometer. Last week we started closing all the curtains in the bedroom to keep ds asleep longer in the a.m. Is this maybe why? I just saw something about darkness being good for cycles.

WEll heck.... maybe you just answered my question. I always wondered why I got AF back 2 weeks after my PP bleeding stopped (my dd is still a power nurser... nursing at least 15 times a day, with 6 of those being during the night)... but I live in Alaska and I had her in October (only 3 hours of daylight)... maybe that is why mine returned so quickly????

Wow, that is some convincing anecdotal evidence! I don't know where I read this, but it seems to have worked for you. DH told me to open the d!@#$% curtains!
There is a mama who got AF back early with both her babies even though she was tandem nursing, so I guess some people just have strong hormones! Congratulations! ;)
Mine was definitely AF. I am charting on day 14 and haven't had any exciting CM or temp shift yet, so we will see if it is a real cycle. Were yours real from the get-go?

Yes, mine were completely normal right from the start (I don't have to chart.... I always cyst and feel my ovulations).
I find it so ironic, because of a uterine disfunction I can't have anymore children, yet my cycles are clock work where it would be so easy for me to conceive :bang Mother nature has a strange sense of humor sometimes.

I got AF back at 9 weeks post partum and my son is exclusively breastfed. Since then it's been coming every 5 weeks.
I didn't get much of a break at all and the light thing isn't the answer because we sleep with the blind slightly open and the window open to let fresh cooler air in.

I was gonna post, but you've already got my number. :LOL I don't think it's about darkness, either; my daughter was born shortly after the longest day of the year. :shrug C'est la vie!
