Are you gaining weight yet?

I am :irked: 6 freaking lbs! Yeah I know its to be blamed on my massive appetite. About 1-2 hours after dinner I send DH out to get me a second dinner. Its getting ridiculous but I am *so* hungry all the time. I really don't want to pack on the pounds with this pg like I did with my boys! Oy maybe my appetite will slow down soon.

Seriously, I tossed out my at-home scale a long time ago. Judging by how things fit, I may have gained a pound or two. It's more like everything's just 'shifted' around. I didn't gain all that much with dd, and I'd love it if it were that way again, but we'll see.

All of my jeans are too snug so I knew I had to be gaining or shifting. I have a scale for weighing & shipping pkgs that i stepped on lol

I gained alot with my sons and not a lot with my dd so I am hoping this pg I don't gain a lot again.

No i haven't.Thankfully.None of my clothes fit but that is just my expanding belly.I actually lost a pound.But i have no appetite,i force myself to eat but i have that horrible metallic taste or whatever it is becasue it feels like hangover mouth to me.It sucks!Hopefully it will go away soon.

6 lbs for me too according to my midwives scale. I don't think it's the baby though, I think it's the 4 cakes we made for DS' bday a few weeks ago! :LOL I am hungry all the time too...but that's anytime, not just when I'm pregnant, hehe.

Aw, bummer about the 6 pounds! Hopefully that'll even out for you. I gained over 75 pounds with dd. UGH! 5 months of bedrest helped I'm sure... LOL With Koen I 'only' gained about 40, most of which was in the last couple weeks when we moved to FL in June! lol So far so good... I've lost a pound. Gosh I hope I can keep from gaining too much.

I've actually lost about 6 lbs. My jeans are getting looser. But I also had some weight left on from DD's pg, o maybe I'll end up at about my pre-pg weight w/ her before I start gaining again.

Well, if you count the difference in my home scale vs the scale at the OB's office, yes. But in reality I don't think I've gained by maybe 2 lbs yet.

Appetite? what's that?? I'm nauseous 24 hours a day and throw up at least twice a day. I've probably lost about 5 lbs but easily have it to lose plus a lot more. Hopefully it won't last the entire pregnancy...it's hard to go out and not feel silly carrying around a barf bag.

:hug Kylie... I had that with my dd and it's awful; I lost 10 lbs before I started gaining weight. I hope it's over for you soon.

I've gained 3 pounds so far, and am actually amazed that it isn't more! I'm eating constantly and in huge amounts. The other night I went to bed so tired, but had to get up and make popcorn because my stomach was growling. Shared with my nephew and niece and STILL ended up eating most of the bowl! lol Was so hungry, in fact, that I couldn't eat fast enough and still be able to breathe! :LOL Now THAT'S a tough choice!

:LOL that's funny! i'll bite my dh's head off when that starving feeling hits if he tries to take a bite (just a single bite!) of my apple slices before i get it under control! i get out of bed once or twice before getting to sleep, just to eat another snack--i try to eat just enough to stave off that desperate starving feeling. it's like, i just ate a whole can of beans a few hours ago and was stuffed beyond belief once i came up for air (i was so happy to be able to eat a full amount!).

i don't know if i've gained weight, but i'm definitely bigger in the belly!! i didn't realize it can happen so early. i guess that until getting pg, i didn't hear about the huge spectrum of normal that exists within pregnancy. it's really beautiful!

Sprinkle: when pg with my dd, when I would get hungry I would go straight from normal, happy woman to SUPER B*TCH!! It was amazing!! Then once I ate, I would look at my dh and say "Who WAS that crazy woman that was just here???" :) He used to joke that he would never get between me and the food at those times just in case I bit his arm off!!
