My dd will be 2 years old when the next baby is born. I can't decide if I should get a double stroller or try a sling first and keep my dd in the stoller. On a regular basis, the only thing I use a stroller for now is the mall. Plus, I have see those things and they are so big and bulky! I also thought about getting a cheap umbrella stroller for when I go out with my dh or mom so we could each push a child....what do you guys think, or what have you done?

Well, how often will you be going to the mall?
For me, the only time I needed a stroller at all is when I had a toddler that would try to run off when I also had a tiny baby. The toddler would ride in the stroller, so I could keep track of him/her, and the baby was kept in the sling.
The nice part about using an umbrella stroller & a sling is that they don't take up your whole trunk.....and they aren't as difficult to get into & out of stores.

I think I'm going to wait to see if I actually need one. I don't shop much, and when I do I usually have someone else w/ me. I don't think I will need one at all, I have a stroller that came w/ my carseat, and an umbrella stroller. I might get a new umbrella one, as mine isn't the best one ($10 special).

I think we'll be getting one, but that is because we live walking distance from a lot of great things (zoo, park, grocery store, coffee shop, etc) and it can get pretty tiring to carry one the whole way. But since we can afford one anytime soon, we're going to register for it and hope that our parents get it, or maybe hold off buying until we're 100% sure we need one. I think they make sense if you have to do a lot of walking, but the sling is such a good option too...
