Okay, this may sound odd, but I am not sure what to dress my baby in when he/she comes home from the hospital. My first was born in April at 29 weeks and came home in May but we dressed him in winter preemie garb, including blanket because of his prematurity and trying to regulate his body temp. My second was born at 34 weeks in January, so again, brought him home in winter preemie garb even though he was 61/2 lbs and 21 1/4inches.

So, if this baby is born soon, (I am 33 weeks today), I may be in need of preemie garb, but would I need to dress warmly in August? If this baby makes it to the end of the month, would you bring your baby home in clothes without onsie?

Hope none of you are hurting yourself laughing too hard! :) TIA!

I think a lot of it would depend on where you are! Wanna share?

Well, mine will probably come home in a hospital longsleeved t-shirt and a cloth dipe! All wrapped up in a receiving blankie, of course. And a cap, too I guess.

Nothin' fancy.
I'm waiting to break out his clothes when we come home!

I was going to bring along:

a onesie
a long-legged, long-sleeved pajama thing (is there a standard name for these?! sleep-n-play? creeper? my mom calls them newbie suits)
a knitted hat
a blankie

figured that would cover us in all possible September weather situations, as it can be hot and humid and 90 or crisp and clear and 60.

My bigger question is: what should I bring for *me*?

I always called those sleepers. Newbie suits is cute though.

sorry, we live in Indy, and like it was mentioned, it can be hot or cold, so I guess I just pack some of everything. Baby clothes don't take up much space! :) Thanks for the feedback!

As for you, I have always taken my pregnancy clothes as you will still look a little pregnant going home. Plus they are comfy!
