heard the heartbeat!

We heard the heartbeat for the first time this morning! I actually cried a little it all seems so *real* now. The best part is that DH, who works CONSTANTLY actually went to the appointment with me. I really never thought he come with me to any appts and he was initially iffy on even making the birth! He had a big silly grin on his face when he heard it. I think he turned a corner this morning.
I can see now why ladies who get ultrasounds would be so addicted to them. We aren't going to rent a doppler or anything (I must admit that they still freak me out on a certain level) but it was so nice to have our first communication (even if its one sided) with baby.

For me, hearing the heartbeat is the moment when it really becomes real for me the fact that I am pregnant. It is such a wonderful moment!! Congratulations and God bless your little one!!

That's so awesome. I can't wait myself. We're going to try on Monday when we see the midwives. I'll be 10.5 weeks then.

I saw my backup OB last week and she offered to try but we couldn't hear anything, which is what we both expected.

It's something I am really looking forward to. My partner is going to be at Monday's appt just in case we hear it.
