too much sodium

Okay I drank a whole V8 the med size in one afternoon- not the family size but not the indivdual size- anyway, I was telling my mom when we were at the store and the check out lady starts telling me to watch it because V8 has a ton of sodium and that can really hurt the baby or me and cause all kinds of problems in pregnancy. So did I do something wrong? How much sodium in one day is too much? I want to eat some soup but now I am all freaked out about that.

Sodium is lovely.

Of course, I might be biased, because I typically have low blood pressure. :D

Seriously, though, the idea of limiting sodium during pregnancy is something that people were told 20, 30 years ago, but generally not anymore. You're fine, IMO. :)

Pregnant mamas actually need more sodium than non pregnant women. You can get the V8 in low sodium if you are really worried :)
