Can you ladies give us some insite into how hypnobirthing helped you?

Also, can you tell us how much you paid for your classes? I'd like to have an idea before I get too set on the idea only to find out we don't have the $.

I am hiring a doula, and she also teaches Hypnobirth. She hasn't given me a price for classes.

I did homestudy, so just paid for the materials. It helped me let go of my fear of pain, it helped me keep my body relaxed during labor. I truly felt in control and not afraid during my daughter's birth. However, I did feel plenty of pain. (Which I expected.)
