Ack! Impending Ovulation????

hmm, can someone help me out here? dd is 14 mo, still nursing, no ppaf at all. no motivation to use bc beyond withdrawal - and DH didn't last night :angry I've been having more cm lately, so this am in the shower I checked my cervix. sure enough, it is high and open. if I am remembering correctly this is a sign of ovulation, correct??

It isn't the end of the world if i do conceive now but not quite ideal...

Hi! we have been using NFP to tta (sucessfully) for 8 months.
And from what I know about the signs, yes, a high and open cervix is a sign of fertility BUT it isn't necessarily a direct sign that you've ovulated. I usually have high and open cervix for 1-1.5 weeks before I ovulate (I usually have longer cycles 32-35 days). I think it really depends on the person and their cycle as to how long it stays high and open before ovulaion. It usually closes really quickly after ovulation though, within a day or two, I think. So you might want to moniter when it closes and comes down to have a better idea of when/if you've ovulated.

well i just got my first ppaf :) Thanks for the advice, I'll use it this coming month. since we now need to tta for a bit.
