I'm asking because my dad and his wife live there. His wife doesn't have a car, and so she is home alone basically all day. They are relatively new to the area and she doesn't know anyone. She's the mother of 4 grown children, and is a grandma, too. She adores kids.

I thought it would be nice if she had someone to talk to, walk with, etc.--within walking distance (or if someone was willing to drive to her).
